I am still standing with my beloved when my mother appears into my view. Her soft smile looks down upon me and her eyes sparkle. Her eyes flash proudly at me and fills with gratitude, "She is right,"
I keep my eyes on hers, "Hmm?"
"The words she gave to you. You did save her with no intention for yourself. That is what a princess must do,"
My lips curl into a soft smile in return, "I do what is best for my kingdom, mother,"
Her smile widens as she continues watching me. Emotions of relaxation and comfortableness are showing through my eyes as Ike holds me. I finally feel my emotions calming inside of me. I close my eyes for a moment, enjoying the feeling.
I hear my mother softly chuckle, "I'm glad you're back, my dear,"
I nod and respond without opening my eyes, "Me too, mother,"
Shortly after, my eyes flutter open as another voice speaks to me, "Princess,"
The Dark King and Queen are standing before me with their hoods down and calm expressions plastered across their faces.
"Oh," I say as Ike releases me so we may bow in their presence, "Your Highness, how may I assist you?"
They return warm smiles and bow as well, "Your mother was just informing us that you will be leaving soon, back to Terra," I feel a rush of excitement spike within me, "We wish you a safe trip back to your home planet and we wanted to give you our blessings,"
"Oh!" I give a courtesy in reply, "Thank you!" I step closer to them, "I guess my work here is complete. I wish your Kingdom well. I do miss my father and have duties to complete myself back home," They bow in return and open their arms welcoming a farewell hug.
They are like my second pair of parents now. I cannot help but be grateful for how understanding they have been. The King sure did have a change in heart. I am glad I am able to assist them.
Once they release me, my mother appears next to me, also exchanging farewell hugs, bows and blessings. Then she turns to me, "It is time, my child. Let us board the ship,"
We turn to follow my mother out of the town, around the Castle and towards her ship looming in the horizon. My mother approaches the door to her ship, and with a single motion of her hand, the door slides open with a hiss and the walkway lowers in front of us.
