Song of the chapter// Love me like you do by Ellie Goulding

Two and a half years later...

Abigail Devon's POV....

I opened my eyes just as the morning sunrays entered through the partly opened curtain from the window. I smiled to myself when a warm hand was tightly wrapped around my waist, pulling me back so that my bare back touched his bare chest.

I turned my head over my shoulder to see Eugene's peaceful sleeping face like he had no care in the world. I took in his beautiful face, drinking in each and every feature from his messy hair that's falling down over his forehead to his tempting lips. He was beyond perfect.

He made a small sound in his sleep, pulling me even closer. Last night's memories flashed in my mind and I felt myself getting warm. I still couldn't believe everything went as well as I had planned.

I remembered just yesterday at this hour my nerves were on edge and I was just two seconds away from cancelling everything when Selena appeared on my doorstep after I called her over but...she came with her own little problem.

"Selena, will you come out already? I am starting to get worried." I shouted for the tenth time since past twenty minutes that she entered inside the bathroom in my dorm room. "Selena!" I lightly tapped on the bathroom door, pressing my ear against the wood to hear for some kind of response.

"I hope she is not dead." Belle, my roommate stated flatly. I turned around to glare at her which made her shut up. "I won't say anything." She zipped her hand across her lips and threw the imaginary key out of the window.

"That's better." I stated dryly. No offence, I loved my roommate but sometimes she could be too....bitchy. She just didn't know when to shut up or when to say the right things. I heard some movements coming from inside the bathroom so I quickly took a step back and waited for Selena to come out.

The door slowly creaked opened and walked out Selena with a nervous look in her face as she held a large box in her hand with ten pregnancy kit placed on top of it. "Here, check it out. I can't look at it." she said with her voice on edge and laced with fear and anxiety.

"Okay." I grabbed the box from her and inspected each one of the kit carefully.

"What does it say? Am I p – pregnant?" she asked, panicked.

I placed the box down onto the table and looked at her with a smile. "No, you are not. The test is negative."

As soon as the words were out of my mouth, she let out a heavy breath of relief, sinking down on the chair across the table. "Thank god. I don't know what I would have done if I was pregnant. I am so not ready to have a baby."

Belle snorted from her bed giving Selena a flat look. "Who is when they are still in college?"

Selena gave her a death glare but didn't say anything. She merely rolled her eyes, ignoring her comment. "No one asked you so stay out of it." she snapped. Belle opened her mouth to retort back but I shot her a look.

She mumbled something under her breath but obliged anyway. Selena and Belle never liked each other since the day I introduced them back in my first year of college when she came to visit me after two months into our college. Selena chose to study fashion designing while I chose medicines. I was lucky enough that I managed to score the scholarship and enrolled here in one of the most prestigious colleges of medicine.
