Regina's POV:

Mother looked almost maniacally the same. Her red hair hung loose at her shoulders and she wore a black and white pantsuit. I could see why people said we looked alike. "What are you doing here, Mother?" I demanded, pacing in anxiety. She recoiled, almost in anguish. But her eyes soon regained their usual cold stare. "You would think after so long, a daughter would want to see her mother again," she snapped, striding in circles around me. "What do you want?" I questioned stiffly. "Can I not say hello to you without wanting something?" she mused. I broke out of the cage she was forming around me. "No! You never have!" Her face lightened. "I'm changed now, darling," she said with a smile. She looked me up and down. "I can see you aren't." I clenched my teeth. "I am changed, Mother," I sighed. I crossed my arms. "I'm a better person." Mother smiled sheepishly. "I'm sure you are." She paused and raised her eyebrows questioningly. "What brings you here?" I shook my head. "Helping Emma, as usual," I muttered. Then, remembering the conversation I'd just had with Miss Swan, continued, "Actually, you're the one who's here." She kept her eyebrows raised. I uncrossed my arms and pursed my lips. "You're alive, Mother." She chucked and waved a hand at me. "I know that!" Her expression changed. "You think anything done by your fath-" She stopped. "Never mind." Her smile returned. It was only now that we weren't allies that I could see now fake and cheesy it was. "Isn't it great, dear?" she shrugged. "We have a second chance." I rolled my eyes. "Mother, I don't need second chances." Mother's frowned and her eyes turned sad. She took a step closer to me and lay a hand on my shoulder. "Regina, I let someone from my past that I loved dearly walk away. It cost me and you both a lot. I will not do it again."

Hook's POV:

"Milah!" I called, my hands cupped around my mouth. "Milah!" I clearly wasn't paying attention. In my haste, I bumped smack into Emma. She jumped back. I tried to look mad. "Uh, sorry," I mumbled. "My fault," Emma said quickly. She went to walk around me, but I ended up walking the same direction. She went left, and so did I. "I'm sorry," she said again, and rushed down the street. I was quite intent on letting her go, and not saying another word, but she turned around and came jogging back in my direction. "Killian, wait!" I sighed. "I know we haven't talked much since...uh, anyways, I just wanted to say I'm sorry." She stopped and looked up at me. Her eyes were soft and full of regret. "I hope you can forgive me." I stared at the ground. Could I forgive Emma. No! No, of course I couldn't! She helped the crocodile take my daughter! I cleared my throat. "I, um, I have to go find Milah," I said, stepping aside. I took a few steps before I heard Swan calling out again. "So what are you two now, anyways?" I reluctantly turned around again. "Emma, I don't know!" I shouted. Despite the urge to walk away and leave well enough alone, something kept me talking. "She's the mother of my daughter. My first true love." I scratched my chin. "My only true love." Emma frowned. "I said I was sorry," she said angrily. "This isn't about you," I insisted. "Yes it is!" Emma yelled. "This is about me! I messed up and you're going to hold that over me! What about all the times you messed up, Killian? You-you've done things too! You've messed up! Before we met, you were just Captain Hook, a drunken pirate that everyone knew for his wrongdoings! You killed Merlin just a little while ago! I changed you! Without me you'd still be the villain you used to be!" "Let's not forget you're also the one who sucked me back into that darkness, Swan," I murmured. "Making the the Dark One. You're the reason I'm in the underworld in the first place!" Emma shook her head. "I saved your life. Multiple times. That was one of them." She strode around the pavement. "And anyways, you're not in the underworld anymore." She snapped her head up. "Yet again, thanks to me!" My ears perked up. "Not in the underworld?" I questioned. Emma shook her head. "No. Something went wrong on the way here and Gold brought everyone from the underworld up instead of us going down." I didn't believe what I was hearing. I pointed my finger at her. "So you're telling me, that had you not interfered, this could've really been my second chance with my family?" I demanded. She nodded. I turned around. "That's it, Swan," I mumbled. "It's done. Leave it alone." "I tried to fix it!" she yelled. "Leave it alone!" I said. "I'm sorry Killian!" "Swan, stop it!" "At least her death was quick and painless!" "How can you say that?" I screamed. "She's dead! She's dead, my daughters dead because of you! And trust me Swan, coming from someone who's had their heart ripped out, it's not in any way painless." With that I left, not letting her get in another word.

Emma's POV:

After yelling at me for nearly 20 minutes, Killian left me standing their on the sidewalk, alone and looking stupid. How could he just walk away? I thought for sure reminding him of all I've done for him would count for something. But I guess not. I sighed. The chances of Hook and I being together are clearly gone. I decided to go visit Izzy's grave and pay my respects. When I got there, I saw Regina standing with a red-haired woman. As I got closer, I realized it was Cora. They both turned and stared at me. Cora smiled sheepishly. "Oh, my," she mused, looking me up and down. "The Savior. To what do I owe this honor?" I pointed to the tombstone they were standing in front of. "I, uh, just came to say goodbye to a...friend." Cora looked questioningly at Regina. "Captain Hook's daughter," she explained. Cora clasped her hands together. "Oh, I didn't know Killian had a child. How tragic." "For him to be a father or for his child to die?" I asked. Cora thought for a moment. "Both." Without taking second glance at the grave, I took off in the other direction. Cora's back. And if there's one person who's in danger of feeling the wrath of Cora, it's my mom.

Regina's POV:

After Emma took off, Mother looked at my solemnly. She just stared into my eyes as if there was something she wanted to say, but couldn't. "What is it Mother?" I asked. She took a death breath and said, "Darling, I haven't been honest with you." I laughed in spite of myself. "When are you ever?" She broke eye contact with me. "It's different this time." "How?" I asked. Mother sighed again. "It's about your father. He's not who you think he is."
