We get back to the ship around one and head to the lounge for lunch. I grab two plates and start to head back to my room.
"Today was fun, Secret." Steve says.
"It was. I'm glad you are happy. Now I suggest you eat, train some, and hopefully sleep!"
"Don't hold me to that." He laughs.
"Which part?" And he leaves. I get to the room, and go inside. I set my plate down on my nightstand, and look over at Loki's side of the room. He is not in bed, but I hear the shower going. His breakfast plate is empty, and there is a book sitting on the bed. I guess he is making himself comfortable. I open the slot, and trade the plates. I put the empty plate on the table by the door, and chow down on my food. I finish and set my plate down on top of the other empty one. I grab my phone and see I have a couple of missed calls. I call my manager back.
"Sarah, thank goodness you finally answered."
"Tasha, you know I'm working. It's not like I died."
"But you could have! Anyway, great news! You have been offered a part!"
"You know, considering I have heard this same phone call several times, by my guess, you have already told whoever it is that I will accept the part, and that I don't really have a choice in the matter."
"Wow. You are good."
"Come on Tasha, spill. What part?"
"They want you to play the female lead in the red dawn sequel! It will be based on another group of rebels in another state." She squeals.
"That actually does sound like fun. Can I do my own stunts?"
"Why do you even ask?"
"True." I hear the shower shut off. "Hey, I have to go. Text me the details please."
"Oh, right. Duty calls. Hehehe, have fun saving the world and what not." And with that, the call ends. I also have a missed call from my editor.
"Why hello Miss Jones, I have been expecting a call for some time now."
"I know Carol, I'm just tied up right now. You know my situation."
"I do, but I still wish you would update me on the progress of your writing."
"I know, I have had some blockage lately and I was actually just about to use some of my free time to write more. When did you say you wanted to try and release this one?"
"Hopefully in about six months. Think you can manage?"
"I'm sure I can, I'm through with the at least 68 percent of it, so mostly its just finding the right way to end it all."
"I see, well keep me up to date on your progress. The faster we can get it out in the public, the better."
"I agree. I think the next addition to the series is gonna rock some socks off."
"And with that comment, I'm going to let you go." "Alright Carol, talk to you soon." I put my phone down and pull out my laptop. I grab a couple of books that pertain to my book's topic, and I make a small work space on my bed. The door opens to Loki's bathroom, and he steps out. He has no shirt on, and a pair of pajama pants. His black hair is smoothed back and still somewhat dripping water. Some water droplets still remain on his finely chiseled chest, and I can't help but stare.
"Do you like what you see child? You are more than welcome to join me next time." He smirks.
"Oh, sorry. I just couldn't believe you changed." I retort. I go back to my work. I pull up where I left off in my story, and began pecking away. I grab my phone, and plug my headphones in. I turn my music up, and try to focus, but I keep glancing over to Loki. He is now sitting up in bed, reading a book, shirtless. No matter if he is a bad guy or not, what he is doing right now is every nerdy girls dream. And I think even him being bad makes the attraction much worse. Did I just say attraction? I mean, I can't possibly be attracted to him, can I? I mean yes, physically he definitely has the whole package, but his attitude is what makes me angry. I think maybe it's the vision. Knowing he could be so much more, and now I know he would totally have the body to back it up.
"So, either you are having another one of those migraines, or you just can't get enough of me?" He grins.
"Oh, trust me. It's definitely a head ache."
"You know, you are a terrible liar."
"So I've been told." I laugh. I look up at him and shoot him a smirk smile. I go back to my typing and realize something. Did I just admit to intently staring at Loki?
