I grab Loki's hand and drag him to the middle of the room.
"What are you doing, my love?" He asks.
"We are going to earth!" I giggle. I concentrate, and teleport us to our old room. Everything is just as it was, and I have to sit down to catch my breathe. Biggest one yet, I laugh to myself.
"We could have taken the bifrost." Loki says as he sits by me.
"I'm fine. I'm not gonna lie though, its weird being in here." I laugh.
"I agree, but this is where it all started. To think, I fell in love with you, even though you never showed your face and kept me in a box." He laughs.
"Oh shut up." I nudge him. "Come on, I've got some things to do." I grab his hand and we go to Nick's office. "Knock knock."
"Sarah!" He jumps and practically tackles me in a hug. It's great to see him.
"I wasn't gone that long." I giggle.
"Two months!" He protests. Maybe I should keep track of time better.
"OK, OK. You know I've never been on time. Well, I have something to tell you." I say as I raise my left hand up. His eyes widen, he looks to Loki, and then back at me.
"Listen here, you better treat my daughter right. And I will be at that wedding!" He says.
"I can see you clearly missed me." Loki smirks.
"Well, we must celebrate! I'll call Stark and see if we can't throw something together at the tower."
"OK! As long as nothing is actually thrown this time, I think this will be fun." I laugh.
"Alright, I'm glad to have you back. Let me make some calls and lets say around 5 tonight?"
"Sounds good, we have a couple of things to do also. I'll catch you later." I smile and give him another hug. I drag loki down the hallway and back to the room. I grab my phone and call Tasha.
"Sarah, please tell me you're home?"
"Well, not exactly. Don't get your hopes up. Listen, I need you to do me a huge favor." I explain everything to her and she seems to be quiet for the first time since I met the woman.
"Well, this is sudden. I think I can do what your asking. Are you done with your vacation though, cause seriously Sarah? I have movie lined up for you."
"I'm practically done. I'm gonna be going back and forth, I promise I'm gonna get back on track."
"Well, that's great to hear. Now, meet me in central park in an hour and I'll bring the brigade!" She giggles. Same old Tasha. I hang up and call Carol.
"Why, miss Sarah! It is a pleasure to hear from you again."
"I wanted to tell you that I finished the book. I'm sending you the copy now and just so you know I might not make the release party, just send my regards. I'm going through some things, and its hard for me to be in two places at once."
"Well Sarah, I shall look forward to receiving the finished product. I hope to see you soon."
"Same here." And I hang up. "OK, you're gonna have to change."
"Is this not suitable for your people?"
"No, but the word suit does give me an idea. Just kidding, I won't make you wear a suit. Let me check this closet." I walk over to his closet and look around for what I picture to be perfect. I grab a pair of dark denim jeans, and a light grey v-neck t-shirt. I hand him the clothes and shove him in the bathroom. Not that I haven't seen him change before, its just a habit. I fix my hair, straightening it for the first time in a while, and put on real makeup! I'm bringing this with me when I go back. But wait, am I going back? Loki steps out and man does he look gorgeous.
"I am not overly fond of these shoes." He says, pointing to the loafers.
"Well, I think you look great. I mean, did you look in the mirror? If I wasn't occupied with all of the things we have to do, I'd probably attack you right now." I chuckle and go back into the bathroom. He comes in and shuts the door.
"Is that right?" He smirks.
"Don't look at me like that, we have to focus." I giggle. He turns me around and pulls me toward him, and I gasp. God he is too fine for his own good.
"What is wrong my love?" He smiles that devious smile, and leans down to kiss me. I can't stop him, I don't want to stop him. He picks me up and sets me on the counter. I run my hands through his hair, and pull him as close to me as possible. I pull off his shirt and just look at him. His smooth chest perfectly contrasting with his hair and eyes and looking stunning in regular jeans. He kisses my neck, sending chills down my body. He takes off my shirt, and kisses my shoulder.
"Loki, we have to go."
"Why so sudden, my love?" He whispers into my hair as he nibbles me ear, sending my body into overload. I push him away and hop down on the ground.
"You have no idea how much I want to stay right here, in this moment, but we really need to go." I place my hand on his chest and look up at him.
"Another time then?" He asks, raising an eyebrow at me.
"You know it gorgeous." I say as I toss him his shirt. I put mine back on and head out of the bathroom. I grab my phone, my keys from the nightstand drawer, and wait on Loki. "Come on, we have to get to my car."
"Your car?"
"There are several things you don't know about my life here. Now come on, its parked on land."
"Here, allow me." He puts his hand to my head, wraps his other arm around me and then he closes his eyes. I blink, and we are standing by my silver jaguar.
"Aww, you teleported for me! How thoughtful." I giggle. "Now hop in, we have to make an entrance."
"What do you mean? Will it not be an entrance with out arrival?"
"As much as your lack of knowledge for midgardian slang kills me, you sound so cute when you're confused." I say as I put the car in gear, and take off down the road. I turn the radio on and chasing cars by snow patrol plays. I turn it up and start tapping the beat with my fingers.
"I also do not understand midgardian music."
"Just listen to the words."
I dont quite know, how to say, how I feel. Those three words, are said too much, but not enough.
If I lie here, if I just lay here, would you lie with me and just forget the world?
"Music expresses emotion. It allows you to say all of the things you could never actually say. It feels great to sing along to a song that appeals to your emotions at that moment, because once you're done, you feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of your mind. It's almost like venting, but in this case it's more like blowing off steam."
"So singing is like remembering and forgetting?"
"Yeah, some songs can help you get over a heart break, dance your heart out, fall in love, understand sorrow, and so much more."
"I just might have to listen to some of these songs you speak of." He smiles.
"Well, that will have to wait. We are wanted in front of a bunch of cameras." And with that, the fun begins.
