-Alexis P.O.V-
"Hey love, welcome home." Mom greeted.
I was just looking at the man sitting in the living room, he looked like he was in his mid 40's. He looked at me smilingly, then took two steps forward towards me, and I took two steps behind.
He didn't stop coming towards me.Who is he? Why is he here?
Before I knew, he pulled me into a hug.
"Alexis,Look at you, beautiful as ever." He said into my ear.
I stood there stunned, frozen and speechless in my place.
"Erm.." I could barely utter a word.
"Well,Austin, excuse us for a minute." She said to the man. Then turned to me and said," honey, come with me for minute." Mom said.
I quitely followed her. My dad just nodded at that man.
Mom made her way to a room upstairs.
"Come in." She said, as I stood at the door step.
I nodded and made my way towards the bed.The second she closed the door, I began bombarding her with whatever came to my mind.
"Mom who is he?Why did he hug me? Does he know me? Mom? What is happening? What is it that I don't know? Why is that man acting like he knows me? If he does, and if I know him, why can't I remember him?"
"Baby, shh..calm down.Let me speak, because I- I have something to tell you." She said, nervously looking down and figiting with her fingers.
"And that is..?" I asked, waiting for a response, as my heart raced faster and faster.
Mom stayed silent.
"Mom!"
"Okay, I know this is going to come as a shock, and I didn't want to do this to you like this, but he just showed up all of a sudden and left me no choice," Mom sighed.
"Mom, what is it? " I asked softly, but nervously.
"He is Austin Blake, your biological father Alexis." She said, her voice soft and scared.
"What? No, its not possible," I said, trying to deny what she just broke to me.
"I-its not possi- never." Words barely fell out from my mouth. My hands covered my face, as tears escaped my eyes. My heart felt this strange feeling of betrayal,of sadness,of anger ,of every emotion a human could feel.
"I..I'm sorry for keeping this from you so long, but its true, he is. I divorced him when you were just a year old. Not all relationships work out honey. He used to come home late, sometimes drunk, and he would get into a heated arguement with me, and I would cry. Until I could take it no more." She said, tears began clouding her eyes.
"Oh Mom," I hugged her tightly.
"An-And t-then I met your step dad. Mark. He was so understanding. And he loved you so very much, he was more than happy to accept you and love you like his own. And I never thought you would have to know about all of this someday, because I had lost all contacts with Austin more like I cut all strings of contact from him, we moved here, and then I thought now we'll be safe, but he just shows up like this, and he demands to see you. He has legal papers, he being your dad has every right to meet you. I can't change that" Mom said, barely making any eye contact.
