Ten minutes later they returned, both of them holding a book in their hands.

'I can't belief Dumbledore makes us read a mugglebook and write an essay about it.'

'I like it, it's better than having to clean the toilets for a month, like Peter and James have to do.'

In their hands they hold a copy of the book 'the little prince'. Well, Remus did, the original French copy, Sirius held a dictionary, French to English. Dumbledore told them they had to work together in order to write a good essay. The boys both didn't know a word French. Well, Remus knew the basics, Oui, non, words like that, and Sirius knew how to say 'my name is Sirius Black, keep that in mind, you'll be screaming it later'. Jason thought him that sentence in the holiday.

.....................

For the next two weeks Remus and Sirius worked on the essay, in the beginning it was hard, they had to search for every word. But they became better in it, soon they recognised more and more words and in the end they could translate whole sentences without using a dictionary. Every evening Sirius would jump on Remus bed and lie down next to him, often Remus would throw his arm over the back of his friend and they would start to translate. They enjoyed their intimacy, to share each others warmth and knowledge. They both surprisingly liked the language, and they even started to call each other names. Sirius called Remus often Renard, or Rennie. Renard was a fox, because of Remus red hair and his sneakiness. Remus called Sirius a lot of names, but most of the time he just called him Petit Prince, because Sirius always claimed the blankets.

When they finished the book they both felt sad, not wanting to give up the friendship they built up with the book. Sirius turned to Remus, now laying on one of his sides.

'Rennie, what was your favourite, like, quote from the story?'

Remus took his time to think, and turned his face to his friend.

'I quite like: On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux. Do you remember what it meant ?'

'Yeah, it means one sees clearly only with the heart. The essential is invisible for the eyes. I really like that one too.'

'Yeah, it's sad it isn't reality though. In my opinion people only look with their eyes and shut their heart off long before they became adults. So tell me, mon petit prince, what is your favourite quote?'

'I have also one of the fox, I like that character an awful lot you know.'

'We should write an essay about him then, what kind of valuable lessons one can take from the fox.'

'I think we should.'

'Now tell me, mon petit prince, what's your favourite quote?'

'Bien sûr, dit le renard. Tu n'es encore pour moi , qu'un petit garçon tout semblable à cent mille petits garçons. Et je n'ai pas besoin de toi. Et tu n'as pas besoin de moi non plus. Je ne suis pour toi qu'un renard semblable à cent mille renards. Mais, si tu m'apprivoises, nous aurons besoin l'un de l'autre. Tu seras pour moi unique au monde. Je serai pour toi unique au monde...'

'I like that one too.'

'Why?'

'Because I feel like that is what friendship means, to tame. I would be lying if I would say you, James and Peter hadn't tamed me a bit.'

Then Hagrid entered, followed by Dumbledore. Remus face turned as white as that of a ghost. He had forgotten it was full moon tonight.

'I am sorry Sirius, I have to go... See you tomorrow.'
