Epilogue
“Babe, okay ka lang?” tnaong ni Elmo sa asawa. yakap niya ito mula sa likod.
Nakitan iya ito sa veranda ng kwarto nila at nakatanaw sa kumikinang na tubig ng dagat. They are on their honeymoon in Maldives. Well, they had their first night after the wedding but this trio to Maldives is his surprise gift for her.
“Yhup.” She answered as she placed her hands on his arms,
“Eh, bakit ka nagsesenti rito sa veranda?”
“Wala lang. I’m just admiring the beauty of the night.” He buried his face on her neck and hugged her tight.
“But the beauty of the night is nothing compares to you.”
Julie smiled. Ramdam niya ang mainit na hininga nitong dumarampi sa kanyang balat at naghahatid ng kakaibang sensasyon sa kanyang katawan. This is not the first time she felt this way.
Elmo started planting tiny kisses on her neck that made the memories of their first night as husband and wife flashes back to her mind. That night was incredible!
She turned around to face him. Love and desire was written on his eyes.
“I love you, Mrs. Julie Angeles Marasigan.” He said and claimed her lips for a passionate kiss. She answered and he slowly lead them to their room and feel each other’s warm and love.
“GOOD afternoon, viewers!” bati ni Jennylyn. “Live na live po nating makakasama ngayon ang newly wed couple na sina Julie and Elmo Marasigan!” Nagpalakpakan ang mga audience sa studio. Guest ang EMJA ngayon sa talkshow program nito every Sunday afternoon. “As promised, narito sila ngayon upang sagutin ang lahat ng katanungan natin!” Natawa ito. “Natin talaga? Mula sa kanilang engagement at sa kanilang kasal.”
Three months after the wedding and their trip to Maldives, this will be the first time they will talk about the shocking proposal of Elmo in Julie’s concert and their wedding.
“Hi, Jen!” bati nilang dalawa sa host.
“Thanks for having us here.” Dagdag ni Elmo
“Naku, you’re always welcome, Elmo. Salamat rin at pinaunlakan niyo kami sa interview na ito kasi naku! Kailangan ng matuldukan ang mga usap-usapan simula noong concert mo Julie.” Natawa lang ang dalaga. “Anyways, congratulations sa successful concert and wedding.”
“Thanks.” Simpleng sagot nilang dalawa. Magkatabi silang naka-upo sa couch sa set. Hawak ni Elmo ang kamay ni Julie habang ang kaliwang kamay nito ay naka-akbay sa balikat nito. Halata sa kanila ang awra ng pag-ibig.
The way Elmo rubs his thumb at the back of Julie’s hand, so sweet! No wonder why the fans love them because they are really oozing with kilig factor. Their chemistry as a loveteam is undeniable. And currently, the fans went gaga when the man who’s gone for six months suddenly appeared and pop up the question which the woman answered with s sweet and daring response.
Now, people were asking what’s the real story behind the proposal because they never admitted that they are in a relationship with each other for the past years.
“So, Elmo…” panimula ni Jen. “since ikaw ang lalaki, ikaw na ang tatanungin ko.” umayos ito ng upo still holding Julie’s hands. “Ang tanong ng mga fans, bakit biglaan? You never admitted that you’re together then suddenly kasal agad?”
“Hindi namin inamin pero hindi rin naman namin itinanggi.” Simpleg sagot into. “We want to keep our relationship private din kasi.”
“Pero naisip niyo ba na lumantad na lalo na sa panahon na maraming issues tungkol sa pagkaka-link sa inyo sa iba?”
“No.” sagot ni Julie. “We know the truth and later on mawawala din naman iyong mga issues na iyon. Tsaka kung umamin kami amidst the issue baka iba iyong isipin din ng mga tao.”
“And surely,” dugtong ni Elmo. “Our fans already have presumptions about our relationship. Sabi nga, actions speak louder than words, e.” and he flashes a smile that make the fans giggle.
“Iyon naman pala. Ilang taon kayo na naging magka-sintahan?
“Siguro mahigit isang taon din.” Elmo said.
“Isang taon? What made you think na Julie is your Ms. Right?” Julie on the other side is silently listening and waiting for his answer.
“Well, actually,” tumingin muna ito kay Julie bago sumagot. “I don’t know. I just felt it. I just felt it na siya na talaga lalo na nang umalis ako ng bansa.”
“Speaking of pag-alis, ano ba ang dahilan at bigla kang nagdesisyon na umalis ng bansa?”
“I took a short course of photography good for six months.”
“It’s a good opportunity for him din kasi kaya we convinced him to take the offer.” Julie added.
“Hindi ba kayo nahirapan sa long distance relationship niyo?”
“Mahirap din pero kinaya naman namin.”
“Itong dalawang ito talaga! Ang sweet! Nakaka-bagets!” Jen commented and they just smiled.
Hindi niya napigilang hindi mag-side comment dahil talagang nakakakilig ang dalawa. Effortless kung magpakilig. They could be considered as the epitome of love.
“We are just happy to have each other and I am lucky that she’s mine.” He said as he looked at her like she was the only girl in the world. The audience heaved sweet ‘ahhhh”.
“And I’m lucky to be his girl.” Answered Julie. The audience applauded.
They’ve found their match, their soulmate, their destiny. May they continue to love each other and be happy together.
