Liam's POV
This was going perfectly to me. I wanted to have a day with Morgan so bad and now I've got it. I think there wasn't a better way to spend the day with her. Some mall fun, some food, some craziness while driving, plus a trip down memory lane. Even though it caused some tears, it was completely worth it. Morgan and I had just entered the house part of this old thing. Everything was a little more dulled, dusty, and withered than before but that was obvious. Luckily nothing fell down, everything was just as it was left six years ago.
There was the same wall of photos. None of them knocked down by wind. Then the wall across from that one had a huge treasure chest we put all of our stuff in after our day of adventure. On the wall itself there was numerous things. Words and pictures Mike and I carved in along with some pictures Morgan painted and a large chalkboard. A single large rug filled the middle of the floor. It looked and felt knitted but was still a rug. There were a ray of colors stitched into the rug, pinks, reds, oranges, purples..the usual colors you see at sunset all jumbled up into one. There wasn't much else. We didn't need anything else. The only time we used the tree house was to put our stuff in from the day of exploration in the forest. Plus whenever we watched the stars or if it started to rain unexpectedly.
Morgan was now walking around taking in her surroundings. She stopped at the picture wall and smiled running her fingers over the pictures. then she walked over to the opposite wall looking at all the carvings Mike and I did tracing them with her fingers then giggling at the abstract pictures she painted. Lastly she opened our treasure chest at that point I was standing next to her waiting to see all the things that caused most of my best memories in life. I glared inside the chest. On the top was our stick wands which was one of the things we used the most. Then around it were things like interesting-shaped rocks we found, some Tupperware we took from either one of our homes, a pocket knife, some paper and pens, sticky notes in numerous neon colors, a blanket, three small pillows, about five flat sheets(we liked to build forts inside our fort), a small tub of nails, a large rock we used as a hammer, then some other hidden items at the bottom.
I saw it getting fully dark outside and stars sprinkling the night sky. "Soooo I was planning on us watching the stars for a while, but I didn't think to bring blankets or pillows and those are probably infested with bugs so probably not the best idea." I began. "It's okay I can lay on the wood it's fine." Morgan laughed. I just smiled watching her climb up the mini ladder to get to the roof. She didn't have a bit of worry that the ladder would break while I on the other hand was super careful. W both made it onto the roof, once again Morgan not having a care in the world that it could possibly cave in under her. That's one of the things I love about her, she doesn't care to take risks. Not that walking on an old roof is exactly a risk, but I mean with other things. She's always the first one to board down the super long steep roads. Morgan didn't care what rocks she hit or if there was a car coming, she just wanted to feel the thrill of almost dieing I guess. She wasn't afraid to get injured if she did she would just laugh it off and say "Hey look maybe this will be another scar to add to my collection." I didn't exactly know what she meant by it because she wouldn't get hurt that often that left things that are bad enough to be scars. I thought she meant it as another thing to prove she did something worth living in life and exciting. She's the only one who really knows though.
We both finally layed down on the roof. Morgan was practically on top of me using my shoulder as a pillow. That arm was wrapped around her while the other was under my own head. She had her hand on my chest and the other was crunched up between her and I. I broke the comfort when I remember I stil had to give her a present. "Oh wait one more thing before we get comfortable." I said sitting criss crossed. "I was comfortable!" She groaned. "Well sorry love I had a good reason." I explained. "Which is....?" Her voice trailed off. I pulled the little black box containing something I purchased for Morgan at a jelery store in the mall. "I thought that was for Lou?" Morgan questioned. "Nope." I replied opening the little box.
