- Leah -
"That's nice to know." I heard a voice behind me. I snapped around and met his angry but yet still bright blue eyes.
Luke.
"You're fucked." Ethan whispered. I tried to conceal my amusement, as its unlike Ethan to say something like that, not breaking eye contact with Luke.
"How much did you hear?"
"As much as I needed to." Luke plopped into the seat next to me. "So Michael likes you and Ashton is your fuck-friend."
"He is not my fuck-friend! He won't leave me alone and now he thinks he kicked Michael out of the band. He said if Michael is in the band then he isn't.."
"What ever happened to bros before hoes." Luke sighed.
"Excuse me!"
"Pals before gals, whatever." He rolled his eyes, amused. "It's still not right."
"That's what I've been trying so hard to get through their heads, Luke. They just won't listen."
"I think we should get both of them together and talk to them or something." Luke suggested.
"Ashton will probably explode, but I guess. When?"
"Well I have class in a few minutes, so after that?"
"I do too. Which class?"
"Creative writing." Luke shrugged. I met eyes with Ethan and he raised his eyebrows.
"You're in our class?" I looked back to Luke.
"Yeah. I sit in the back." He shrugged.
"Wow, I've... I've never noticed." I shrugged. "What's your major?"
"I have two. Music and journalism."
"That's so cool. I'm going to medical school to do psychology after I'm done with this."
"That's awesome. I wish I had enough patience to do that." Luke smiled a bit. He seems pretty bearable, like he actually cares about his future of the band doesn't work out. I don't think Michael could even live if the band didn't work out, he doesn't give a fuck.
"Yeah." I smiled.
After a small pause, Ethan spoke up. "I think we should go now."
"Yeah. We'll handle the troublesome two after class." I chuckled. Luke nodded as we arose from our chairs and walked into the warm air outside. Our class wasn't very far, so we just agreed to walk.
"You know Leah, Ashton may be an asshole sometimes but he can be pretty sweet." Luke said as we began walking.
"How is he sweet?"
"Well, I mean, he did give you one hundred dollars and let you sleep in his closet and use his phone. I'm sure he's done another nice thing since then."
"Yeah, forcibly made out with me." I rolled my eyes.
"Well, I don't know..." Luke paused. "I think he can be nice, but maybe not so nice to girls. He doesn't really know how to handle them."
"What do you mean?"
"Do you think that Ashton is a badass?" He asked suddenly, ignoring my question.
"I mean, yeah." I muttered.
"He isn't. In fact, he's a total geek. He hasn't had attention from girls until about a year ago when he bumped up his style."
"What?" I stopped dead in my tracks. This can't be true.
"I'm not joking, Leah. It was hilarious. He's never even slept with a girl."
