- Leah -
Ashton got a fucking pet spider.
I stumbled back and almost fell, suddenly feeling an electric touch on my back, supporting my weight. Michael. Ashton was too busy smirking proudly to catch me from falling. What a dickhead.
"Bro, that's not cool." Michael spoke up, pulling me into a normal standing position and wrapping his arms around my stomach from behind me. I froze, feeling as if I would never move again. Michael's large arms were wrapped around me, and I felt everything within his touch. I had never felt so ignited in my entire life. Except for when Ashton touched me.
"Whatever." Ashton sighed quickly, clearly frustrated that Michael had witnesses his evilness towards me.
"No seriously. You know that she's terrified of spiders. You may not like her, but that doesn't mean you have to get a spider to scare her." Michael rationalized.
"Mikey, may I remind you that she is the one who poured enchilada sauce on me? Besides, who says I got it to scare her? Spiders are cool as fuck." Ashton rambled.
"Yeah, because you're being a dîck to her. I know it is bro. Something happens with you two every day." Michael sighed. "They aren't cool as fuck if they're being used to scare your neighbor." Michael defended me. I cannot believe what is happening right now. Boys are fighting over me. This never happens.
"I am not using this spider to scare Leah!"
"That's your name?" Michael chuckled lightly. "Well then why did you want to show it to her?"
"Because spiders are cool as fuck."
"They a-"
"Okay, just stop!" I shouted, wanting to end this conversation once and for all. "Let's go, Michael."
"Thanks for inviting me. It was sweet of you." Ashton remarked. I rolled my eyes as Mikey released me from his touch, my body instantly relaxing. I began to walk out of the door when I felt his fiery touch on my wrist. I snapped around and met Ashton's hazel eyes. "Have fun, Leah." He smiled. He looked genuine, but I knew the true Ashton Irwin.
"Yeah, have fun with your creepy pet." I muttered, pulling my hand away from him. Unlike when Michael had released me, I wanted more. I wanted to feel his touch again. He pressed his lips together, looking almost upset. I rolled my eyes.
"Come on, lentil. I'm craving salsa now."
"I'm coming." I chuckled, walking out of Ashton's apartment and slamming it shut.
"He's a dick. Don't let him get to you."
"I know." I sighed.
"He also has a dick."
"Shut the fuck up, Mikey." I laughed lightly, hoping to relax the tense mood. Michael shouldn't be fighting with his best friend over a girl that he just learned the name of minutes ago.
Soon, we arrived at the restaurant. It wasn't very fancy at all, but they had good food at least. There isn't much better Mexican food around. But honestly, is there any bad Mexican food? It's the best thing ever. Even though I was angry with Ashton, the food calmed me down.
I'm so unhealthy. I eat comfort food.
On the way home, we got stuck in the school traffic. As much as I hate traffic, Michael made it fun. Maybe Michael isn't quite as bad as I originally thought? He seems like the nicest out of his band. Ashton is easily the rudest.
"Truth or dare." He asked me as we sat right in front of the frantic cross guard, waiting for him to allow us to drive past.
"Dare."
