Bryan's POV:
"I'm really sorry Leann, I just get very angry sometimes. I start to become my real parents when I do, becoming more agressive and forceful than I normally am. I'm really sorry." I apologized for the third time as I let a couple of tears roll down my cheeks.
"It's ok, in a way I understand how you feel." she mumbled.
Things went back to normal after she accepted my apology. The room became quieter as I looked around my room. I didn't know what to say. Leann looked around the room as well over towards a picture of us that I put on my dresser. I love that picture. It was from our first date. Oh the memories. Minutes passed and I began to think. Am I busy today? I want to take Leann out today just the two of us to make up for my actions earlier. There are no good movies out this month and it's too cold out to do anything else, so what would we do. I began to think some more. Winter activities... hmmm. Ah ha! Ice skating! I can skate pretty well, I can teach Leann! Perfect!
Leann's POV:
"To make up for my actions from before, get your coat on, we are going to have some fun today!" he said while pulling my arm like a child.
I put on my coat and sneakers and we left his house. We said our goodbyes to Nancy and we drove off in his car. He wasn't going to tell me, again where we were going. It was a short trip this time so I guess we are going somewhere local. Me and Bryan chatted as he had both hands on the steering wheel. I put my hand on his arm and he peered over towards me. I giggled and he shook his head. After what seemed to be a half an hour, we arrived. I examined the building as we looked for parking. We were going ice skating... great. I'm going to look like a fawn standing up for the first time, or even Bambi. This should be good.
Bryan's POV:
"Do you know how to skate?" I asked her.
"No, I never have. Don't let me fall, or it's off with your head!" she laughed.
We parked the car and walked into the rink. We took off our shoes and got our skates.
"Size 13." I told the boy.
"Size 8." Leann chimed in.
The boy gave us our skates and we sat down to put them on. As soon as I put mine on, I opened Leann's shoes and slipped them on her feet. I could tell that we had a Cinderella and Prince Charming moment just now. I tied the strings and we walked into the rink. Leann immediately held onto my arm. She was scared.
As we walked down the ramp she mumbled to herself, "The dream..." I became scared. What terrible things are going to happen now? I stepped onto the ice with Leann still stuck to my side. I looked into her blue eyes as I reached for her hands. As my hands touched her's, I slowly spun her around. She seemed scared, not knowing what was going to happen. As the spin came to a stop, she was still on her feet smiling.
"I can do it now Bryan!" she said skating away from me. She was pretty good for a first time skater. Thanks to my experience in hockey, I zoomed after her. I began to laugh. The wall was coming closer and closer to us. I was only a couple of feet away from her. I picked up my paste and bear hugged her from behind banging into the wall. Her side slammed against the wall making her slip. She was about to fall until I pulled her arm towards me. Her foot twisted in an awkward position and she let out a moan. I made sure that she was standing properly and kissed her. Still in pain she asked me to sit down on a bench. As we sat down, she rested her foot on her thigh. I rubbed in softly and she smiled at me.
"Are you ok?" I asked her.
All she did was give me a blank stare letting a couple of tears fall from her eyes. "The dream, Bryan, the dream!"
"Do you think you'll be able to skate for little while longer. If it still hurts then, we'll take you to the doctors."
She smiled at me and nodded her head. We went back onto the ice holding her hand. We skated around the rink holding hands for about a little more than 30 minutes until Leann told me that her foot was hurting a lot. As soon as we took off our skates and left the rink, we both went into the car and I drove to the doctors. All she said the whole ride there was, "The dream.. The dream Bryan. It came true." I became nervous just listening to her. We finally arrived at the doctors. We walked in and waited for someone to take her. I held her hand as she was still mumbling, "The dream, the dream, the dream."
