Nikki's POV
The next day
I feel terrible, I barely got any sleep last night because I'm use to falling asleep in Darius's arms once Princess goes to sleep. Princess cried herself to sleep in my arms last night because she's so use to Darius rocking her to sleep and talking to her.
She wasn't crying this morning like I expected her to, but Tiffany told me Darius took her on a walk this morning while I was asleep which explains a lot.
I sat at the table exhausted as I sipped my coffee looking for my quote of the day. "Why don't you just tell him you didn't mean it? From the looks of it this one day has been hell for you, what would two days or a week look like and feel like for you?" Tiffany asked sitting at the table.
"No because then I'll look stupid." I said looking up from my laptop. "You look stupid now for not telling him, and for letting your anger speak for you." Ne'yah said sitting at the table.
"Plus life isn't only terrible for you, Princess need him....We need him. Our breakfast afternoon snacks, and dinner were just stolen from us when he walked out of that door." Tiffany said crossing her arms. "Yup, so you need to call him and make things right between you two. And if you don't want to do it for yourself just do it for Princess...and us." Ne'yah said smiling at the end.
The boys walked in and came to sit next to us. Kevin and Jay were about to hug me, but I don't want no ones hug unless it's from Princess or Darius right now. "DON'T touch me," I said stopping them.
"Don't mind her, she had a rough night without Darius." Ne'yah said. "Her, I'm having a rough morning without his breakfast!" Tiffany said laughing. "It's not funny!" I said now angry.
"Okay okay, if you don't want to talk to him, at least you get to see him. With Princess being the bait. He'll do anything for his daughter, all you got to do is say Princess misses him, even though you do too, and he'll be here in a heartbeat. That's one thing you can't take away from him or say he's not a good father." Ne'yah said rubbing my back.
"I know, but I'll feel terrible for using Princess just to see him." I said rubbing my temples. "Yea but look on the bright side. Princess will be happy to see her father, he'll be happy to see her, you'll be happy to see him. Plus we'll be happy to see him and pray that he'll bring up breakfast and cook for us." Tiffany said.
I couldn't help myself from laughing now. "Wow, you guys are really stuck on this cooking thing aren't you?" I asked laughing. "Yes!" They said in unison.
"Ever since he started making breakfast my grades have improved from a 4.0 to a 4.30. I never thought it was possible until he started cooking." Ne'yah said seriously. "And my mornings have been better, I have been smiling and looking forward to the morning and the whole day. Plus he's really funny so everyone be looking forward to his jokes and ready to laugh." Tiffany said in the same tone as Ne'yah.
"He doesn't even cook for real, he's just being nice. Plus I can always Cook for you guys." I said smiling. "No!" They shouted in unison.
"Don't get us wrong Nikki, we love your cooking but Darius pays attention to what we like and don't like. For instance, if you cooked scrambles eggs you'd put cheese on it and I wouldn't eat them. If Darius cooked he'd give me my eggs before putting the cheese on everyone else's.
I like my bacon soft, y'all like your bacon crunchy, and we all have different tastes in coffee and he knows them. You don't pay attention to the small things. And that's just breakfast, don't get me started on dinner and snack and lunch." Ne'yah said in a matter of fact tone.
