Darius's POV
Two weeks later
Man me and Tee have been coolin, fucking, and talking. I mean she a cool person to be around, she doesn't over think shit and I can talk to her about Nikki and she won't get mad, she'll give me advise.
Sometimes she start telling me to talk to Nikki, even if I don't want to hear it. So now I'm getting dressed to go see her, and my daughter. I gave her her space, and now I'm ready to see my daughter. No one is going to stop me from seeing her, she's mines as much as she's Nikki's.
"You're up early," Tee said turning on her stomach, making a pillow with her arms as she stared at me. "Yea, I'm going to see my daughter and she loves the morning." I said putting my shirt on. "About time, it only took you forever to come to this conclusion." She said with a little chuckle.
I didn't say anything I just smiled at her. "I'll miss you," she said smiling. "Well I guess you're gonna have to wait until I come back." I said before pecking her forehead.
I walked out the room and the condo and made my way to my truck. As I drive to Nikki's, a million and one things lingered my mind.

I stood at her door not knowing what to say. Then the door swung open and there stood Tiffany. I signaled for her to be quiet and I heard Princess crying and Nikki trying to calm her down. I walked in, and Tiffany walked out. I stared right at Nikki as she paced the living room floor as she talked lightly trying to calm Princess down as she held her.
She put Princess in a burping position and started patting her back softly. I know she's not burping her because she doesn't have on that lil pink cover. Princess eyes met mine as I walked slowly and quietly over to them.
"Daddy's little Princess missed him?" I asked in a baby voice as I stood behind Nikki, catching her by surprise as I took Princess from her arms. Princess stopped crying once she was in my arms and her little head laid on my shoulder. "When did you get here?" Nikki asked folding her arms looking like she hasn't gotten any sleep in days.
"Just now," I said sitting on the couch with Princess sitting on my lap. Her little head fell onto my chest. For some reason she loves laying on my chest, only so she can hear my heartbeat. She always lays where she can hear it better, specifically one place exactly every time.
I just rubbed her back, I don't know why she doesn't do this with Nikki, but I guess she likes knowing I'm here now. Especially since I wasn't when she was just an infant. I guess she wants to keep me close, but I'm here to prove and to love her enough to show her that I'm not going anywhere.
"Why'd you come back?" She asked sitting next to me, but leaving some space between us. "I think it's pretty obvious why I came back." I said using my hand to gesture what I'm talking about, ...Princess. "Is that the only reason you came back?"
"Should there be another reason? I mean you ended things, like we do have to talk. We do have to see each other, just because we broke up doesn't mean we won't communicate and see each other. It isn't just us anymore, we can't just break up and walk away and go about our business. Princess is also in the middle of this, and because of that we will always have to deal with each other. We need to talk about a healthy co-parenting lifestyle for her, because I'm taking her into consideration."
Nikki didn't respond, she just stared at me before standing up and she started walking away. "What did I do now? We need to sit down and have this type of relationship like adults, we need to be mature about this." I said getting upset. "Nothing, you're right. I just....I just want to take a nap. She has kept me up and I haven't gotten any sleep so I'm tired. We can talk about this some other time, or when I wake up." She said with a growing attitude.
I get a feeling I'm not going to like co-parenting Nikki, she seems like she's about to be a pain in the ass, and not my pain in the ass to claim. "Well I'm taking her with me, I'll have her back in like two days." I said standing up with a now sleeping Princess.
"Two days? Are you serious? Darius you're not taking my baby for two whole days! You can't just come in her demanding to take her or telling me you're going to take her. You can at least ask, and even if you did the answer will be no because you're not taking my daughter for two damn days." Nikki said crossing her arms and practically yelling as the attitude grew a little too big for my liking.
"What the hell man? Aye Renée watch who the fuck you talking to, cause I know for a fact you're not talking to me. First of all let's get this shit straight right fucking now. This isn't your baby, last time I checked she's mines too. Secondly, I don't have to ask you shit, I don't need yours or nobody else's damn permission to take my damn daughter.
You're lucky I respect you enough to even tell you I'm taking her, because I could've grabbed her as soon as I walked in and packed her shit and was out the fucking door. So don't ever disrespect me in your fuckin life cause I don't disrespect you.
You know what? Fuck this shit, I'm out as soon as I pack MY daughter shit." I said pissed the fuck off. I don't know who she think she talking to, she getting too beside herself. She starting to really feel herself, this disrespectfulness isn't about to become no damn habit.
I grabbed Princess's diaper bag, and grabbed some of her clothes, shoes, pampers, wipes, baby powder, socks, headbands, and some of her toys.
I walked out of her place leaving her standing there looking stupid and speechless. I didn't even notice I called her by her first name, but I'm pissed the fuck off so I'm not surprised.
I put Princess in her car seat, and strapped her in before putting her diaper bag next to the car seat. I closed her door and made my way over to the drivers seat. I got in and pulled off.
