Nikki's POV

As the music blared through the speakers, and I grinded onto a cute stranger, and the alcohol passed through every inch of my body, I realized I never felt so alive.

I never been to a club before, and I never drunk alcohol before. I never had this feeling before, but then again I've never experience heartbreak from a guy that I love that I don't consider family. I've been hurt and damaged by a lot, but never relationship wise, and this shit hurts.

It hurts bad, so bad that I'm dancing with a stranger, drinking, partying, being insecure, and letting my emotions get the best of me.

What am I doing? Why am I here? I should be at home, snuggling with Darius while Princess is asleep. I should be happy, and I ran him away. "What's wrong? You're starting to slow down." The stranger said in a husky whisper as his breath tickled my ear.

"I'm second thinking everything, maybe I shouldn't be here. This isn't right, and it doesn't feel right. I thought I would be happy and have fun and stop thinking about my slowly breaking heart, but it's actually doing the complete opposite. I mean it was working at first, for the first couple of minutes. But now it's not so much.

When I first walked in my heart was pounding through my chest, and when I took my first drink, my adrenaline was pumping and my heart was skipping beats. But now I feel like...like I just don't belong here." I said slowly rocking as he held onto my hips. "Well I could give you the nice guy advice or the drunk asshole advice, take a pick." He whispered as I could smell the alcohol on his breath.

"I would like the nice guy advice," I said smiling as I held onto his arms that are wrapped around my waist now. "Do what makes you happy, follow your heart even if your head is telling you no.

If there's one thing I've learned the hard way is that love doesn't make sense, and you can't plan it. So if you love that person, don't hesitate to tell them and most definitely don't let your brain make the decisions." He said making me relax a little more. "Wow, that's good. Here I thought you were just a drunken perv." I said smiling with a little laugh.

"Well luckily you didn't ask for the drunk asshole advice," he said and I can hear the smile on his face. "And what would have that been?" I asked turning around to face him. "Stop thinking so much and speed the hell up, I don't have time for your damn relationship problems. You came here to have fun so have it and stop ruining mine." He said making my mouth drop open.

"Well you asked. Plus we're dancing extra slow, and everyone else is staying on beat dancing fast and going with the music...which is fast." He said making me laugh. "What is your name?" I asked amusingly.

"Ray, and you are..." He said making me smile. "Nikki," I said shaking his hand. "Well Nikki, if you don't mind, can I use your phone?" He asked making me a little cautious as I took my phone out slowly and handed it to him.

"Here, I just put my number in your phone and texted myself letting me know who you are. I'll text you in the morning to make sure you're still living." He said before handing my phone back to me. "Om, okay and since I did come here and I did decide to dance with you, let's at least stay on beat." I said as I sped up my pace and he followed.

Within seconds, I was being pulled aggressively away from Ray. When I saw who it was, I kind of froze. It's Darius, and I need to stop him from pounding in Ray's drunk face. "Darius stop! Stop!" I said pushing him off of Ray.

Luckily he willingly stopped at my voice, because otherwise my pushing would've been helpless. He grabbed my arm not saying a word and pulled me to the exit of the club as Tiffany called after me. He didn't even care he just kept dragging me until he got to his truck.

I got in after he unlocked it and I rolled my eyes as I got aggravated by his aggression towards Ray. Ray is actually a cool chill guy, he didn't deserve that and he was drunk. Darius got in and he started speeding making me scared and I started having shortness of breath.

"Darius slow down! You're going to get a ticket if you don't kill us first!" I shouted as the windows are down meaning all the air is hitting my face and making my hair fly everywhere. I could hear the air passing as I felt the impact on my face and ears.

He didn't even respond, so when we got back to my place I was surprised we didn't get pulled over, killed, and that we made it here safely without a scratch to our names.

He got out and locked the door once I was out. I followed him all the way up to my room, and every female that said hi to him didn't get a response, not even a smile or glare in their direction.

I unlocked the door waiting for the argument to happen already.
