It's slowly forming in my head so good luck to me! I'd like to dedicate this chapter to Heyitshusna!! She is the first person from which I read a story and she gave me the idea to write my first story on Wattpad! Three cheers for Husna! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Hip hip hooray! Go check some of her stuff out.
I sat in History completely bored out of my mind. It was last period on a Thursday and we were learning about World War II. Since I'm the nerd I am I had already read most of the books about the Second World War in the library. I knew most of what Mrs. Syke was talking about so I zoned out halfway through her lecture about D Day until she called on me.
"Ms. Barker! What was the date of D Day and where did it take place?" The old wench asked me I could tell by the look in her eye she didn't think I knew. I'm going to show her I know just as much as her.
"During World War II, the Battle of Normandy, which lasted from June to August 1944, resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany's control. Codenamed Operation Overlord, the battle began on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, when some 156,000 the allies, the American, British and Canadian forces, landed on the coast of France's Normandy region. Prior to D-Day, the Allies conducted a large-scale deception campaign designed to mislead the Germans about the intended invasion target. By late August 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and by the following spring the Allies had defeated the Germans. The Normandy landings have been called the beginning of the end of war in Europe." I said looking dead on at Mrs. Syke. She stood there mouth dropped open.
"Very good Ms. Barker." She said after closing her mouth.
"Thanks." I said quietly looking back down at my notebook. I started doodling until the final bell rang a few minutes later. I quickly gathered my things through them into my bag and raced for the door. Quickly and with my head down I raced to the schools front doors. If Hailey or Hannah or Finn say me I'd never be able to leave. They'd want to stay back and keep me from getting home so that my parents could plan a surprise birthday party I already knew about because they do it every year. It's really embarrassing.
"You wanna go to the mall?" Hannah appeared behind me. "I need to get my hair redone. Plus I want to get a new feather." Hannah touched her perfectly feathered hair with a smile on her face.
"Hannah your hair is perfect. Oh and
I am just gonna go home." I say."Okay well Happy Birthday hun." Hannah smiled and hugged me.
"Thanks. Tell Finn and Hail I said goodbye." I smile.
"Can do." She let me go and clicked up the hallway.
I quickly shove my books in my locker and scurry down the now almost empty hall. I parked at the back of the lot which is so inconvenient. Just as I'm walking a car pulls out and hits me. I fell on the ground and hit my head.
"Well ow." I say dizzily.
"Oh crap. I'm so sorry! Are you okay?!" A voice asks "I saw you hit your head."
"You just hit me with you car, clearly saw that I hit my head and then you ask if I'm OKAY?!" I scream only succeeding in making myself almost pass out. I fell back on my hands and looked up at the person for the first time. It was Kyle Keller. I put my hand on my head and tried to stand up. I stand up strait and bend over to pick up my bag, almost falling over in the process. I would have had Kyle Keller not caught me. I pushed his hands away after I steadied myself grabbed my bag started to slowly walk away.
