The following day was none like Maya had ever before experienced. The first thing that baffled her was the fact that she had had a nightmare free night. The next thing was the spring in her steps, the noticeable lift on her lips depicting a smile, something that was very rare if not none existent when you looked at her person.

Something about her new light aura made her students more receptive than usual as she had always been a very passionate teacher.

Just one conversation from a person who was attentive not because it was expected of him but because he wanted to. Because he was interested in her as a person had made such a drastic change on her that she wasn't in that elusive pit she'd always been in.

That day she looked forward to his visit. It wasn't a guess whether or not he'd come but it was a feeling in the deepest part of her that felt it. It was the part of her that she now realized recognized the invisible energy that identified him.....a person she barely knew.

It was 2:30 and classes had come to an end. Her students were dismissed and after gathering her things she exited the classroom after them. That's when she saw him. He had just walked through the swinging double doors of the school and the bright sunlight formed a halo around his person and to Maya he was an angel robed in white.

"Hi", he said blessing her with a smile.

"Hello", she whispered to him feeling that all her prayers to God to send her an angel, from her youth, have been answered.

"How was your day?" They asked in unison.

She giggled like a young girl fresh out of the school room and replied with a light ' fine' to their shared question.

"So was mine", he said grinning at her.

They walked silently through the school corridors and out into the marvelous brilliance of the never disappointing sun. As a child she had held onto to the fact that if there was anything that would never betray or disappoint her it'd be the sun. It never changes and it's reaction to every situation is always the same whenever it was up. It was always hot. It didn't change it's state because of our feelings or because we weren't in the mood for it. It always remained hot whether we liked it or not.

Of course there is also another factor that didn't change and she was usually reminded of Him whenever she awoke and even more so when she awoke in her right mind with food on her table, clothes on her back, a roof over her head along with ever other blessing that God had bestowed upon her.

She should count her blessings as they are indeed plenty. She glanced at the man walking beside her and couldn't help but feel as if she should also add him to her many blessings but why did she suddenly feel as if he'd always been a part of her life?

Just then a memory assailed her and she remembered him. She remembered the day he'd promised her to always be her Angel in Disguise!
