Sarah's pov

I had fallen asleep in the back of the trunk, my steady flow of tears weathering my energy. I had only woken when I felt the hands begin to pull at my body, hauling me from the small capacity and from my somewhat peaceful sleep. There shoe clad feet had made distinguished crunching noises as they stepped on the gravel beneath them, the sound loud in my ears against the empty quietness. They had grasped ahold of my arms and drug me onto the rocky road, the miniscule stones digging into the skin of my back. I had hissed in pain, but they paid no mind to the sound.

The paralysis of sleep was heavy on my body and it took several moments before my body had fully recovered. I had rolled over onto my stomach before clambering to my knees, the movements had been undoubtedly loud. They had restrained my body once they had realized my intentions, before they uplifted me from the ground and into their arms. I had begun to squirm in their hold, twisting my body in every direction in hopes to loosen their grip. Their iron strong hold didn't waver. I watched my surroundings as best as I could from my strange view, eyeing each wooden step their feet advanced. The wood creaked under our weight as we entered into a new small shack, their arms lazily tossing me to the wall on the side of the room. The harsh impact of my head hitting the wood caused my vision to blue, only disoriented clouds of colors were able to be seen.

The tears had stopped, but my eyes watered due to the impact of the blow. I had done my best to look around the average sized room, trying to pinpoint which shadows were the three people I despised. My back was leaned against the wall, the wood uncomfortable against my bruised back. There were pictures frames of what I believe to withhold photographs of boats and fish, but I wasn't completely sure. There also had been what I the I believed to be a fish ornament hung on the wall as well. The ocean was a dead ringer for the them of the decorations.

I had heard the metallic sounds of chains rattling and immediately coiled into a ball, wrapping my arms over my bent knees.

"Alright, Jessica." The torturous man had spoke, "tie her up."

Jessica had walked toward me, lugging a group of heavy chains along with her. I was too clouded try and stop her from linking my feet to together, so I sat and watched. She secured a padlock through the chains before securing my hands as well, chaining my legs and arms together. She has stepped back when she was finished, examining the metal with a look out satisfaction.

"Secure the weight too." The man reminded her, having her a large circular weight. She had to use both hands inorder to transport the large sphere, the weight looking as though it came straight from a cartoon. She layed the ball by my feet before interconnecting with the chains.

I couldn't help but to think back to the events that had brought me to where I was. A fourth of July party? A walk to the bus stop? It shocked me that it had all happened so quickly. I thought about my death then and the way that I would be remembered. I figured my last event would define me, the girl who had a Fourth of July party and couldn't get away. I had begun to amuse myself by thinking of the other ways to die. Like being an in dept drug lord or stilling the Mona Lisa and being shot to death. The thoughts were thrilling.

I couldn't help but too feel like Alice when she fell down the rabbit hole, entering Wonder Land without any clue as to how she got there. Alice eventually got home, I didn't think I was to be that lucky. But that's Alice and that's her story.

But I'm Sara and I'm just the girl who couldn't get away.
