You don't understand
You just don't get it
You don't see what I see
Feel what I feel
I'm just trying to help you
Because I have been there before
You say I'm screaming
But I have yet to yell
I'm just telling you that life can be
Can be hell
I'm trying to protect you
But you just push me away
I want to be close to you
But we can't be that way
I've been your protector since
Since birth
Your guardian angel
But you
You're my shadow
A darkness in my life
You brought my pain
Your laughter was the thunder
To my rain
I was your light
Or so I tried to be
I just wish you could see
See what I've done for you
But you don't
And it hurts more than you could know
I'm leaving soon to go far away
I'm granting your wish
I'm hoping you'll finally see
That in the end everything I did was to help
Help you see that life isn't what it seems
You still have for to go but my time
Well my time
My time is up
