How I messed up

Story three: More Random

ON THE BUS

I have no idea when this was but it sucked.

I was on the bus one day and going to talk to my friend a few seats up. I was also thinking about trying to talk to Carter. So my bus was fairly loud so I went to say Travis, the name of my friend but when I went to say his name I accidentally screamed "CARTER." The entire bus went silent an everyone but him was staring at me so I hid my face and whispered to my friend Ashlynn, "I fucked up. I seriously fucked up."

"Yup you definitely did." Ashlynn replied quickly.

Later that year

(AN. Sorry I may be leaving stuff out as I've been reminded but I'll try to explain in as great a detail as possible.)

Playing truth or dare.

I was playing truth or dare over text with Jess, Carter, and Ashlynn

It was Carters turn and he asked me if I had ever had a boyfriend. I responded honestly that I had never had one. Then I asked him how many people he had dated. He said like four or something I can't remember properly.  After that his almost exact response was at least I've had a girlfriend Lexi. Cough cough.

On the bus not that long ago

I was talking to my friends and Carter walked past me and I almost slammed my head into his stomachs. I was telling my friends about him so  I literally shut up straight after that.

At the lunch with uh

I was  sitting at lunch with Jess and she threatened to bring Carter over.

"Go for it." I said

"I will."

"Ok"

She did she went and called Carter over to our table. The entire table was vey awkward after that.

"You like him don't you." Makayla said. "Talk to him."

I looked up from my phone and saw him holding his lunch kit. In my mind I only thought well I think I'm going to pass on making this even worse.

"Oh my god. He's here and you're just going to look at your phone. Just talk to him." She continued fairly loudly.

"Well i can't now can I?" I replied through clenched teeth.

"Hey Lexi." Jess said, "You looked pissed in every picture."

"How?"

"Show me a picture and I'll tell you."

I did and she just continued to how ticked off I looked.

"Hey Carter." I said and looked up from trying to pass a level of candy crush for Jess.

"Do I look pissed in this?" I asked showing him the picture in question.

"Yeah." He said and went back to the game before giving the phone back to Jess.

Later I told Travis about what happened.

"Yeah I entire conversation was hi and do I look pissed off in this picture."

"That's sad."

"Thanks."

"Hey Lexi I've realized something."

"What."

"If I want to hear a story I just have to ask you how your day was."

"Thanks." I rolled my eyes.
