My Last Love (A Langston Higgins love story)

Chapter 3

Earkia's POV:

I walked home since i didnt have my car yet. My aunt wasnt home yet and she had no food. I was getting hella hungry so went to taco bell since it was around the corner. When i walked inside i saw a corner full of dudes. As i looked closer I saw Julian,Langston, and DayDay sitting down. Why would a bunch of boys be at this little ass taco bell. Anyways i ordered my food(2 hard tacos) and then i heard a voice call my name.

"Earkia, wassup!" said Langston. I think he wanted me to come over there but i didnt go.

"Hi." i said back. He got out of his seat to come over but the lady called my order. I took my food and left  not realizing that he was following me until i walked out of taco bell.

When i got home my aunt still wasnt there i wonder why because she never been home this late. I was tired from my day at school and i hopped in the shower. I threw on a t-shirt and some shorts and went to lay down and right when i got comfortable someone called me. 

"hey, girl," said Sam.

"Hey" i said back. We ended up talking on the phone for a 2 hours. She was so funny. I never had a friend like Sam. After I hung the phone i smiled and went to sleep.

"Wake up Earkia, You have 30 minutes till school starts." said my aunt. I woke up real fast and hopped in the the shower. I put on and short sundress and some wedges. I grabbed a muffin and went in the. I wanted to as my aunt where she was but i didnt to be in her personal business so it was just quiet as she drove me to school. I was ten minutes late so ran to class. Everyone looked at me when i walked in.

"Yall act like you havent seen someone be late before." i said to the class and rolled my eyes.I gave the teacher my late slip and sat down by Sam.

"Girl, you have serious balls." said Sam. I laughed.

"hahaha, its just that i don't like people looking at me for no reason." I told her

I had GYM today and the shorts looked like booty shorts on me even if i pulled them down. The shirts were super tight too. It's like they want you to have a stripper show. Another bad thing was that we had GYM with the boys. But having Gym was pretty fun. We played DodgeBall and i was better than most of the boys. Now it was finally lunch time and i was super hungry.

Sam's mom had brought the table lunch today. I started to get a little emotional because i wish i had my mom to do that but it would never happen. Her mom left and we ate our food.

"Earkia, how come we havent met your mom yet. Do you live with her and why are you so quiet today, are you okay?" asked Sam. After that i lost it,  I just couldnt hold it in anymore. Tears rolled down my face and i cried.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay, Whats the matter?" everyone asked me. 

I yelled at them but not in a mean way. " I dont have a mom! I shot my mom when i was 4 years old with my fathers gun! My life has never been the same after that. I push everyone away just like my dad pushed me away! Thats why i live with my aunt. No one was ever loved me and every night i go to bed, i go back to Christmas eve, the day i shot my mom. I never had a Christmas after that day! It's all my fault! 

Everyone one was quiet. i got my stuff and ran out the lunch room. I went to the bathroom to get myself together but i couldnt. I cried for the rest of the day. When school was over i ran home. I stopped once i saw a blue Corvette with my name on the side of the car. There was a note typed to it.

"Dear Earkia,

         I know you needed a car so i brought this for you. Im sorry for not being there most of the time but i tryed. Dont worry about the price of the car. it's okay.  I make plenty of money lol. I will be late home again. But i brought you some food from the store. Feel free to do whatever. I hope you love the car.  Be safe

I smiled. I slowly felt much better. Then i got a text from Sam/

Sam: hey, i didnt mean to upset you today  and i feel soo bad i cried too. Julian had to keep me calm.

me: its ok. i no u didnt know. but i had to let it out because i held it in all this time.

Sam: i feel so much better knowing that your not mad at me. i love you bestfriend.

me:omg thx i never heard that word " love" before.

Sam: welcome but im bout to go shopping with my mom. c u tmr at school.

I put my phone i my pocket. I wanted to relax so i put on my new swimsuit and went down to the neighborhood pool. When i got there i saw DayDay, Julian, and Langston all in the pool with a couple of girls. it looked like they were filirtin but the only one flirting was Langston because they all had girlfriends. Well, i dont know about Langston but i think he does. I took off my cover up and walked over to the pool. Langston looked at me and smiled and i smiled back.

Langston POV:

Me and the bros were chilling at the pool and then i saw Earkia walk in. She looked so pretty then she took of the cover up and looked even more beautiful. She had the perfect body to match with her perfect face. I couldnt help but smile at her. This was my chance to talk to her so i decided to play a game.

"You guys up for a game of chicken?" (a game you play in the pool where someone sits on your shoulders and you have to fight to knock the other person off of the other teams shoulders).

Everyone wanted to play my game but Earkia didnt answer.  I walked over to her and i asked her and she nodded.

She got onto my shoulders and she felt soooo light. We played 10 rounds and she won 8 of them. She is a good swimmer too. She bet me 5 times in a race. I had so much fun with her. Its like i can be normal around her. I  felt bad about some of things she is going through and mybe i could help.

Earkia's POV:

After leaving the pool i walked home. Langston was really nice at the pool today. He never mentioned a girlfriend. Mybe i should ask him. Anyways it was late and i was wore out from playing in the pool and crying. I took a shower and went to sleep.

I woke up with the worst headache and i didnt feel like going to school but i had too. I only had less than a month of school left (well at least for me) so i better make the best of it. I put on some sweatpants and a Pink Dolphin hoodie with some sneakers. I drove in my new car to school and got so many compliments on it. I guess Sam wasnt at school today so i was kinda alone except at lunch.  Langston tried to talk to me  in 2 period today which I didnt know we had together. I guess i didnt really talk to anyone because i was fousing on school anyway.
