February 14, and Gabe still doesn't have anything for you. It's 9 pm and your hopes are at the crashing and burning stage. Gabe had told you that he had something planned, but now you are not so sure. All day you have been glancing at him but he gave nothing up. Sitting alone in your cabin by the fire you are almost on the brink of tears. You hear Gabe walking up outside the door so you tube a cold shoulder to him. He opens the door and sighs. "(Y/N), would you like your gift now?" You squint your eyes, thinking if you should be mad. But then again you are too curious tone mad at his sweet face. "Yes please!" He helps you up barely being able to contain his excitement. He walks you outside and wraps you up in a brand new blanket. You snuggle into it as he continues to guide you down the path towards the ocean. When the beach comes into sight you see candles lit all the way to the skiff. You gasp and snuggle into his side. He has a smirk on his face, proud of his work. Walking up to the skiff, you see two fishing poles and a basket. Helping you into the skiff he pushes it off the beach and off you go into the night. Gabe watches you while he paddles silently. Finally, out in the middle of the bay he stops and sets the paddles down. "I am sorry it took so long but I wanted to make sure your first Valentine's Day here was perfect." His words struck your heart and make tears well up. He opens the basket and reveals two, small pieces of pie that Ami must have made. He hands a little plate to you and he digs into his immediately. "Please tell me you at least helped Ami with the pie." You teased. He nods and eats the last of his piece. "Actually, I went and gathered the blueberries for the pie, but that's about it. After I spilled the sugar she kicked my butt out of there." You laugh at his story and set down your plate. You move the basket and sit down next to Gabe. His arm gently reaches around and you, resting at your waist. "Thank you very much for the pie. It was delicious, especially since you gathered the berries." You smile up at him and wipe off a little piece of blueberry pie left on his face. He just smirks and grabs his fishing pole. You reach out and grab yours, "I bet j can catch one before you." He shakes his head, "I don't want to break your heart but if you insist." He casts his line out and you likewise. After a few minuets you bring it in with no fish attached. Sighing, you set it down in the boat and turn to look at Gabe. He is sitting with his back to you watching his bobber. You move over to him in the boat and hug him from behind. He rubs a hand along your forearm and kisses it. He reels in his pole and sets it next to yours. "Well that didn't last long." He mumbles turning around to face you. You sit in the skiff together, staring into each others eyes. "Thank you so much Gabe, for everything. I love you so much, and I love this place and being here with you." He wraps you in a giant hug. You hear him sniffle and he wipes away a tear. "I didn't think I would ever find somebody like you. I love you too, and I am glad that I ran into that day almost a year ago." You both pull back and look up into the sky. The stars shine bright down at you both and the rest of the night is spent on the water. When you both finally went into the cabin, you did what all couples do on Valentine's Day. It was certainly he best Valentine's Day you had ever had, and with the cutest man too.
