When Brooke and Jackie decided to leave they where almost killed by paparazzi and bombarded with questions.
"You can't go out there; not with Dalynn." Christi said.
"It wouldn't be safe." My mom butted in.
"Sleep here." Christi suggested.
"No, no. It's fine, it happens all the time." I answered as Christi grabbed the sleeping Dalynn off the couch.
"No I insist, besides Dee's already asleep." Christi said.
"You two can sleep in Lilly's room." She said as I took Dee from her.
"Thank you." I said as I climbed the steps.
"No problem sweetie, good night now." She said.
"Good night."

I switched on the lights of Lilly's pale pink bedroom.
I unmade the covers of Lilly's bed and placed Dalynn on top of the sheets.
"Daddy?" She asked as I stood in the doorway.
"Yes sweetheart?" I asked.
"Can you sleep with me?" She asked with her eyes still shut.
"Sure." I said as I climbed into the bed and told her a bedtime story and we both fell asleep.
