You Heal Her

The stars of the skies lay starless tonight;
they all returned to your eyes when you kissed her goodnight.
She won't have to sleep with her breaths from her weep
Because your voice was her last thought before she's asleep.

The cracks in her soul may be seen from wars she fought
But the love you give to her keeps her bound together like a knot.
Her tears may break your heart and make your walls break down
But her smile is like the sun and her laugh lights up the town.

Yes she is fragile, yes she is weak,
And sometimes her mind convinces her as a freak.
Hold her tight in your arms as her world falls apart,
It will calm her eyes of all colors and the unsteady beat of her heart.

She may break, she may fall
But you're always there through it all.
You heal her with every breath, with every thought,
With every word and action out of love.

But now I ask you,
does she heal you too?
