~Kellin's POV~
I don't think words can describe how fast my heart was beating. All I know is that one minute, Vic's shirt was on his body, the next, it wasn't. I felt my jaw drop. His skin was perfectly smooth and copper-colored, his abs were stunning. I cleared my throat, looking back up at Vic's face when my eyes fell on the bruises. Hesitantly, hands shaking visibly, I pressed the ice pack gently to the first large, purple bruise. Vic sighed in relief, and I blushed furiously when he made another contented noise."Are you alright?"
I asked. The answer was clear in his face. Though he was bruised and still bleeding a bit, his lips were stretched into an effortless half-smirk, his hands leaving traces in his gorgeous curls. Even cut and bruised, he was beautiful.
"Of course. I'm better than I've been in a while."
His dark eyes locked with mine and I stepped closer, moving the ice to his next bruise. He made that noise again, and I flushed, looking at the floor. His warm hand lifted up my chin.
"Hey, Kellin. I wanna see your face."
I giggled like a little girl.
"That's a relief, because I want to see yours too."
What is he trying to do? Does he know I'm gay or something?
I let my other hand rest on his hip, and I heard his breath catch in his throat. Before he could even stop me, I leaned close to him and pressed my lips to his.Vic seemed shocked at first, but he reacted the way I had hoped he would: he kissed me back. He opened his mouth for me, a privilege I accepted eagerly. I could taste blood still, along with salty tears that had run into his mouth. Besides that, he tasted like cinnamon. I traced his lower lip with my tongue, he winced when it hit the cut. Our kiss became a bit faster, more eager, than it had before. Vic pulled away, breathing deeply. He stared at me, confused.
"Kellin... What just happened?"I couldn't help myself- I laughed, shaking my head.
"My dreams came true."
He smiled slightly, looking at the floor. "We should probably get to lunch..."
I nodded, handing him his shirt and the ice pack, before leading him out of the bathroom and to the cafeteria."Where have you guys been?"
Justin yelled from our lunch table, waving his arms.
"We've been-"
he stopped short when he looked at Vic.
"Woah, dude. What happened to you?" Vic sat beside me, looking uncomfortable. I answered for him. "Bruce."
I caught Vic twist his mouth in a grimace, before locking eyes with Katelynn, who sat across from me. She looked guiltily at the floor. Justin's eyes widened.
"That dick! You should've heard him this morning. He was being a jerk, but I didn't expect him to go this far. Geez, Vic. He really hates you."
I winced.
How does Vic feel about that?
Vic laughed loudly, happily.
"Yeah. I guess I'm just a hate magnet." Jaime, sitting beside Katelynn, reached out to pat his arm.
"It's all right man, we like you."
"Especially Kellin."
Justin winked at me.
"Allllll fourth hour, he went on and on about how cute you are, and how nice, and funny, and charming..."
He said, dragging the 'L'. I kicked him under the table, glaring. He raised his hands innocently.
"He was, wasn't he, Jaime?"
Jaime's cheeks turned pink despite his deep tan. He sighed.
"Something like that, yeah."
I snuck a glance at Vic, who was also sneaking a look at me. Our eyes locked and his soft, sweet lips turned up at the corners.
What are you thinking, Vic?
I wondered to myself, somehow hoping he would hear my thoughts. He reached under the table for my hand, and I took it gratefully. As Justin rambled about his classes, I fought off thoughts of Vic shirtless, while also wondering why Katelynn stared sadly at the floor, as if she had done something wrong. I finally pushed that aside, and continued trying to send telepathic messages to Vic- messages I knew he couldn't hear.
I really like you, Victor Fuentes. I really do.*****
Comment what you think, maybe? I appreciate your follows, votes, and reads! Thank you so much for giving this a chance, and I apologize for the short(er) chapter. Much love.
