Kay followed Hotch to his office. He sighed as he sat down at his desk. "I was really hoping to spend some time with Jack this weekend."

Kay came and stood behind him and began to massage his shoulders. "Do you want me to call Jessica?" She asked.

"No, I'll do it." Kay kissed the top of his head.

"I liked how you stood up for us this morning," Kay grinned. "Does this mean I'm finally rubbing off on you or is there a feisty side to Aaron Hotchner that I'm just now cracking?" He chuckled and stood up, looming above her at nearly 6'2. He took a stepped toward her and she took one back. She soon felt the cold wood of the shelves against her spine.

He placed his hands on either side of her head and whispered, "Both."
Kay grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck as he kissed her softly.

"You know we've been together almost a year but it feels like yesterday," Kay sighed.

"Yeah, it's been almost a year since you literally fell for me," He smirked.

"Oh, Ha ha that joke never gets old. What do you wanna do for our anniversary smarty?"

"I don't know yet, we can think of something later. Will you grab my go-bag while I call Jess?"

"Sir yes sir!" She saluted him mockingly. He rolled his eyes and kissed her once more. He didn't know how he ended up with someone so perfect. Aaron watched her as she bounded out the door, swaying her hips more than necessary.

He looked over at the picture of Hayley that was now on the far corner of his shelf. He loved Hayley and he still misses her like it was yesterday but Kay understood him in a way Hayley never could.

Hotch would still give anything for her to be alive, even if it meant not seeing Jack as often as he wanted. Jack needed his mother, he still needs a mother. And as much as Hotch hates to admit it, he needs someone too.

He pulled open the small hidden drawer in his desk and pulled out a small, black, velvet box. Maybe, he thought. Maybe I've found the answer to both our needs.

"So Hotch, did Kay show you her secret?" Morgan asked mischievously.

Kay's head shot up,"Morgan...,"she growled.

"What secret?" Hotch asked, growing more curious and confused by the minute.

Everyone stared at Kay.

"Okay! Fine," She reached over Hotch and grabbed her bag. She reached inside and pulled out a small plastic baggie with a small silver hoop inside it.

"An earring?" He asked.

Kay laughed,"Almost right." She took the hoop and put it on her lip. Aaron Hotchners big brown puppy dog eyes grew ever wider at the sight before him.

"A lip ring...how interesting." He loosened his tie a little and his ears turned redder than the stripes on his American Flag pin.

He liked it.

Kay grinned and looked over at Rossi who was trying to hide his grin by looking down at his book-which was upside down. Morgan was coughing to cover up his laughter.

Reid-again- looked confused while JJ sat back with a silent grin.

Hotch cleared his throat. "I think we should go over the case now," he said obviously changing the subject. Oh, but this will be brought up again.

They all started to talk about the same things they had talked about earlier. Kay turned and placed her legs in Hotchs lap and leaned into the chair. Soon she was fast asleep.
