the three sat in the living room, not really saying much. they were taking in each other's appearance -- they were real. athena decided it was just a little too awkward, so she got out her phone.

athena: this is nice

lukeass: ur hot

cutecumber: luke

lukeass: yes calum

cutecumber: maple syrup

lukeass: but what if i like maple syrup :-(

cutecumber: then you'd get food poisoning by a certain pancake

lukeass: i've had food poisoning before

athena: tf is going on

athena: who doesn't like maple syrup (A/N: GUYS AT FIRST IT SAID MAPLE STRIPPER IM CRYING)

cutecumber: oh shit michaels home

athena, calum, and luke turned their attention to the door, which showed a very giggly michael. his eyes widened at the sight of the attractive girl in the room -- he had no idea it was athena.

so michael put on his best flirtatious smile, and walked over to her. "hey there." he smirked at her. calum looked up at michael very slowly, blinking rapidly at him.

"maple fucking syrup,"

michael's smirk fell, and replaced by a grin. "you're athena! oh my god, finally its so nice to meet you! calum over here talks about you all the time!"

calum groaned, and rolled off the couch. "hey, guys? what does maple syrup mean? luke and calum are always fighting over it."

everyone in the room stiffened, not knowing what to say. luke cleared his throat, and spoke up. "it's kind of an inside joke."

michael had enough of calum's whining about 'she's too good for me' and 'nothing will happen between us', so he decided to text athena.

michael: ok so

michael: calum and luke like you

michael: ((bc ur hot sorry))

michael: but ignore luke and i calum is like in love with you

michael: so go sit next to him and you'll see how flustered he'll get

athena: will do

athena went over to calum, and sat very close next to him. she immediately looked over, only to see a light blush spread across his cheeks.

michael: o mg he's blushing

athena: wow wtf i feel powerful

but athena turned to calum, and calum turned to athena -- both wanting to say something, but they ended up a little too close for comfort.
