COMFY. Warm. Secure. Calm.
I woke up to see a sleeping Theo snuggled next to my body. His face hidden in the crook of my neck, his arms wound tightly around me. I smiled. I couldn't help but stare at his face. He looked peaceful. And unlike his usual façade, he was truly calm. Then it hit me. Theo was sleeping? Peacefully? That's a first in a long time.
"It kind of boosts my ego, love" he spoke up with a wry smile forming on his lips and his eyes still closed.
"What does?" I asked, hoping he hadn't caught me staring.
"You looking at me like I'm a Greek god."
"Egyptian. Anubis is more like my type." I ruffled his already disheveled hair.
"Oi! Don't ruin my perfect bedhead. I've been told it's quite sexy."
"That, I agree with." I smiled too. It was a peaceful Sunday.
"Want some breakfast in bed?" he had opened his eyes by now.
"If you're up for it." He got off the bed and that's when my jaw fell to the floor.
"Y-you're in your boxers."
He laughed and exited the room yawning. Knowing it would take a while before he came back with breakfast (if I could call it that since it was already noon), I decided to doze off again.

"Hey, sleepyhead. The earth says hello!" I groaned and checked for any drool.
"Pancakes?!"
"And waffles." He smiled.
I looked and the plate and my stomach growled at the sight of the heavenly food. Pancakes stacked with maple syrup and waffles covered in honey. Blueberries and strawberries adorned them and I was pretty sure my mouth was watering already.
We ate in silence. And when he forced me to wash the dishes, I was slightly uncertain of his intentions. Reluctantly, I went to the kitchen and absent-mindedly stacked the plates in the dishwasher. When I was going for the tray, I saw a tissue with something scribbled over it.
Iris,
When I saw you from the first time
I knew you were my porcupine
My charm may be like Frankenstein's
Monkey, be mine this Valentine's?
This boy and his charm. I forgot the dishes in the dishwasher and headed towards the room. I'd never felt this way. Sure, the quartet (or whatever on earth it was) was crappy and sure, it was no grand gesture, but I'd never been so certain about anything before; about anyone before. And I had not any time to waste.
