Flashback-

"You are my little soldier, Neeks, don't forget it," Bianca tells me and ruffles my hair. "I will come back to you. I promise."

"I know you will come back," I say.

"Where is she?" I yell at Percy.

"Nico, she didn't make it," Percy says quietly.

"No! She is still out there! She couldn't have died!" I yell.

"Nico, I saw her body. You know she didn't make it," Percy says.

She promised me she would come back!

Nico's POV-

Reyna and I are walking around Camp doing nothing. I have my arm around her waist. Someone whistles behind us. I turn around and see Jason. "What are you doing Jason?" Reyna asks him.

"Oh, just following my friends," he says.

"Why?" I ask him.

"Because I can," he says.

"Stop it," Reyna says.

"I don't need to," he says.

"Come, follow me," I whisper in Reyna's ear.

I grab her hand and start running toward my cabin. I rush through the door with Reyna right behind me and I slam the door. I lock it and sit down on my bed. "I wonder what he wanted," I say.

"He was probably being weird like he always is," she says.

"Yeah," I say.

We just sit there in silence when Reyna starts humming something. "What are you humming?" I ask her.

"Oh it's nothing," she says.

"Come on, tell me," I say.

"OK. It's called Soldatino," she says.

"Soldatino? Really?" I ask her, stunned.

"Yeah," she says.

"Bianca used to sing that to me," I say.

I told her about Bianca when we first started dating. "Wow," she says.

"Sing it," I tell her.

"What?" she asks me.

"Sing it," I repeat.

"Close your eyes, I know what you see. The darkness is high. And you're in ten feet deep," she sings.

I start singing with her. "But we've survived. More terrible monster than sleep. And you know I will be here, to tell you to breathe."

"You actually remember the lyrics?" she asks me.

"I can never forget them," I say.

"Let's restart the song and sing from the beginning," she says.

I nod.  "Close your eyes, I know what you see

The darkness is high

And you're in ten feet deep

 But we've survived

More terrible monster than sleep

And you know I will be here, to tell you to breathe

Tu sei il mio soldatino (you're my little soldier)

la ragione per cui vivo (the reason I live)

non ti scordar di me (don't forget me)

io vegliero su di te (I'm watching over you)

Stumbling lost

The last choice of all that you meet

It's the cost

Of ruling those 'neath you feet

Paths you've crossed, and trust you're trying to keep

You're exhausted

Listening for a voice that can't speak

 Ma nico mio caro

Tu sei il mio soldatino (you're my little soldier)

la ragione ho vissuto (the reason I live)

non ti scordar di me (don't forget me)

io vegliero su di te (I'm watching over you)

So you run

 Through shadows you roam

 Seams undone

By the love you thought you could own

But he's just one

Of many that you might call home

And maybe someday, the bitter will fade from your bones

 Fade from your bones...

oh oh.

eri il mio soldatino (you were my little soldier)

ora un principe oscuro (now a dark prince)

ma anche per te, c'e una luce (but even for you, there is a light)

che ad un'altra vita ti conduce (that leads you to another life)."

"You have a beautiful voice," Reyna says after we stop singing.

I can't respond. Tears are threatening to escape. Reyna notices and hugs me. "I know you miss her," she whispered to me.

I nod. After a minute, I say,"Thank you for singing with me."

"No problem," she says.

So, 2and1atthesametime, how did you like it? I can redo it if you want me too. This was hard to write because it was sad. The first time I watched this video, I was riding the bus and I almost cried.
