After I'd heard the bad news, I freaked out. I started gasping for air. "A-An-Anthony" I started wheezing. "Veronica! Veronica are you alright?" He gasped. The room was spinning. In my daze, a dark figure walked towards me. I saw him strangle Anthony. Now he started gasping for air, too. Then I passed out.

I was in white halls, wearing a long, white gown. There was smoke everywhere. Then I saw a blinding bright light. "Veronica. We were expecting you." Someone said. Was it an angel? Whatever it was, it was a boy. He stuck out his hand. I stood there for a split second deciding whether to go or not. As a tear rolled down my cheek, I took his hand and walked into the blinding white.
I woke up to Anthony giving me CPR. I was in a hospital bed. There were needles sticking to all different parts of my arms. I heard a faint beeping noise. The doctor walked in and said something. I couldn't hear him so he wrote something down on a paper:

You had a heart attack.
You were dead for 2.7 minutes.
Go back to sleep. We will worry
About everything else

I drifted off to sleep thinking about all the happy things of my life. Nevaeh and Heaven are mannered young girls, Jasmine left for college at 14, I was married to the best husband I could ever ask for, and my best friend was my twin sister. As I drifted off to sleep, I entered the bright, white, room with the angel again. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Wherever you want heaven to be." He said heartily. I imagined a scene in my head. We were at the park. Anthony was playfully chasing Nevaeh around in their wolf forms, Lily and Brandon were sitting on a bench, sharing a fruit salad, and Heaven and I were practicing making little tornadoes. We giggled as Anthony's tail got caught in one and we had to make it go away. We all shared a laugh.
I started to cry a little as I realized that these people weren't really my family. They were just illusions of my family so I can be happy in heaven. "Will I ever see them again?" I asked the Angel as I wiped my face with my sleeve. "You will. Just believe." He said as he disappeared into thin air.
Just then, something happened. The illusion of Nevaeh disappeared. She reappeared in human form, dazed and confused. "Nevaeh?" I asked. I touched her. Unlike all the other illusions, my hand didn't go through her. I gasped as I realized this was really Nevaeh. Nevaeh died and now she was in heaven... With me. I embraced her in a tight hug as we both started to cry.
