Ana woke up to find she was the only one in the room. She got up and sleepily walked into the kitchen, finding everyone huddled around the counter. Ella turned around and saw her and then squealed. “Ohmigoodness! Ana! We got in the paper!” Ana’s jaw dropped. The only publicity they ever got was from fliers and posters they put up and the school news paper. Kora handed her the paper and she read:

“Last night, the teen band The Fallen Angels played at Milwaukee Mall. Their performance was amazing, one of the best local bands around. Their performance was a tribute to their lead singer, Ana Cole, for her 16th birthday. Happy birthday to Ana. The Fallen Angels plan to do a charity concert at Liberty Park in the near future. As soon as information is acquired, it will be published.”

Ana looked up. “Charity concert? What charity concert? We never discussed this…” Jewel smiled. “Well, I got us a spot in the Concert In The Park over the summer, you know, the one with all the radio stations and TV stations?” The other girls gasped in unison. “NO FREAKIN WAY!” Ella screamed, throwing her arms around Jewel. “B-but…How?!” Ana stuttered. Jewel smirked. “You guys know the band Bay Side Boys? Well, I’m banging the lead vocalist…So he got me in.” Ana put her hand up, stopping Jewel mid-sentence. “Wait, you mean Luke Stass? Like, my EX Luke Stass?!” Jewel’s mouth fell open. “I swear Ana…I didn’t know!” She shook her head. “Don’t worry, babe, you can have him. I’m over him.” Relief washed over Jewel’s face. “Thanks Ana!” Ana smiled and pulled all of them into a group hug, not thinking about the future, living in the moment.
