Ana’s POV
As I slowly woke up, I noticed a warm body next to me. I smiled and wiggled my way over, putting my head on their shoulder. I gasped as he turned over, for I had been expecting someone else. “T-Taylor.” I stuttered.
He chuckled and pulled me closer. “Good morning beautiful.” I gasped and pushed him away, trying to get up. “Hey hey hey, don’t be like that sweetie. Its harmless cuddling.”
I jumped out of bed and almost sighed with relief, noticing I was fully clothed. “Taylor. You have to leave. Now.” I said, a little too harsh.
He threw his hands up in despair. “What is with you girls?! I sleep in your bed and you freak out. It’s not like we slept together.”
I rolled my eyes and walked to the door and opened it. “Out. Now.” I said sternly, pointing to the hallway.
He sighed and got up, walking out. “Fine. But I’ll be seeing you later.”
I closed the door behind him and slid down the door, trying hard not to cry. I couldn’t believe this had happened. Although he was right on the part of not sleeping together, there wasn’t really a big difference. Cheating was cheating. No exceptions. I heard the front door close and slowly opened the bedroom door, going into the kitchen. My eyes raked over the food in the pantry, but nothing looked appetizing, but I knew Ella would be hungry. I fried up eggs and made waffles and sausage for breakfast and soon Ella was up and downstairs. She came up behind me and put her arms around my waist and gently kissed my neck. I turned around and plastered a fake smile on my face. “Good morning, beautiful!” I chirped. She smiled and her eyes widened. “Whats up with the feast?!” I shrugged. “I just felt like cooking, and I knew you would be hungry.”
Ella smiled and sat down at the counter. “Thanks Ana. So…What ended up happening last night?” She asked, spinning back and forth in the bar stool.
I chuckled, watching her. But when she mentioned last night, I froze. “O-oh…You know. Taylor left after you fell asleep. Kora had to go pick up her sister or something.” I put the food on a plate and set it down in front of her. Glancing at the clock, I groaned. “My parents will be home around six. I have to clean up this place before they come home.” I saw Ella sigh out of the corner of my eye and smiled. “I didn’t say you had to leave though. Do you not remember how much my parents like you?” Her eyes lit up and a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. I shook my head, laughing, and turned back to cleaning up the disastrous mess I had made. “Go get dressed, Pookie. You’re going to help me.” I heard her groan, which only made me laugh harder. “Fine….Honey Bear.” She said sarcastically, going up to my room. My latest obsession with RENT had caused me to start calling her Pookie, and for her to play along, calling me Honey Bear. I rinsed the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. I heard a loud thump from upstairs and sighed, putting the dishrag I had in my hands down. I made my way upstairs and opened the door to my room. Ella was splayed out on the floor, blushing deeply when she saw me. I couldn’t help but grin, she was in only her bra and panties. I looked around her and started laughing. The culprit of her fall was my hair straighter cord.
She quickly got up, brushing herself off. “Don’t laugh at me!” She grabbed a pair of my jeans and a pink and black checkered shirt, throwing them on.
I smiled grabbed her hand, trying to regain my composure. “S-Sorry!” I managed to say though my fits of laughter. “It’s just that you’re so clumsy!” I pulled her other arm toward me, causing her body to crash into mine. I felt her heartbeat speed up and her breath quicken. I stared into her eyes for a moment and then kissed her lips softly. It wasn’t out usual kiss, it was soft, loving.
She smiled and wrapped her arms around my neck, burying her face into my shoulder. “You know how they say that teens don’t know what love is?” She asked, her voice muffled by my shoulder.
I nodded, my breath hitched in my throat. “Of course…” I said shakily.
She lifted her head up and studied my face, a mix of love and confusion in her eyes. “Well…I know one thing for sure. I love you. I say fuck anyone who doesn’t like it. What we have is special, and nothing that happens can ruin that, right?” She bit her bottom lip lightly, her eyes searching my face.
I smiled sweetly and nodded. “Those people don’t exist in our world, baby. And as long as we’ve got each other, my life is perfect.” I kissed her again and then pulled back. “Now let’s get to work before anyone comes home…There’s popcorn all over the place.” I wrapped my arm around her waist, her arm still around my neck, and made our way downstairs to clean.
