The night of the concert was super hectic as they dressed and put on their makeup. Ella dragged Ana into the bathroom, a slightly worried expression on her face. Ana furrowed her eyebrows. “Ella…What wrong hon?” Ella shook her head softly, tears in her eyes.
“They’re fighting again. It keeps getting worse. Daddy threw a glass at mom…” Ana’s face dropped and she pulled Ella into a hug, softly rubbing her back.
“Don’t worry Ella. They’re gonna work it out. I promise.” She pulled out of the hug and looked at her girlfriend, smiling reassuringly.
“You promise?” Ella stammered.
“Cross my heart and hope to die.” Ana said, kissing Ella softly. Ella leaned into the kiss, something Ana wasn’t expecting, and wrapped her arms around Ana’s waist. Suddenly the two girls heard a gasp and both of them spun around.
“Kora!” They both said at the same time. Kora’s eyes were wide as she took in the sceen.
“What the hell?” She finally managed to say. Ana blushed and chuckled.
“Whoops, we’ve been caught.” Kora opened her mouth to speak, but then closed it again. She had no clue what to say to them, or how to react.
Ella reached out and put a hand on Kora’s shoulder. “Listen Kor…You can’t tell anyone about this. Not Nay, not Jewel, NO ONE. We can’t let this get out. The publicity will kill our band.” She said sternly. Kora just nodded, still fighting about what to say. They heard the door open and all smiled, stepping away.
“Everyone ready? We’re on next.” Jewel stated, before putting the finishing touches on her outfit. The girls nodded and followed Jewel back outside.
Ana took a deep breath as she walked onto the stage, the crowed was screaming their name. The other girls came out after her and she motioned for the crowd to be quiet. She started singing, acapella, the first verse to their new song she had written, Confessions.
“They scream your name, buildin up inside.
They’re so demanding, building up inside.”
The other girls then joined in.
“Confessions. Scream to the world.
Confessions. No more hiding inside.
Scream to the world your confessions inside
Bring the walls of pain down with your confessions.”
When they finished the song, the crowd exploded into wild cheers and clapping. Ana walked up to the mic to give one of the speeches she had prepared. She waited for the crowd to die down before she started. “Thank you everyone for your amazing support! Without you, we’d be nothing!” Ana smiled as the crowd roared again. “After the concert is over, we’ll be selling our first official t-shit and CD’s, along with signing autographs. And don’t forget to donate money to help start out donation organization, Angels of Hope, to help children in poor conditions reach their goals! Thanks and enjoy!” They started up with their hit songs, Fallen Angels and Perfect. After finishing up, they went backstage to listen to the Bay Side Boys play.
After all the bands had finished playing, they went out and signed autographs. They hadn’t realized how many fans they had until that moment. After about two hours, they had made a total of $5,000 for Angels of Hope.
They exhaustedly packed up their equipment, when Ana got their attention. “Hey guys! I totally forgot! My parents are out of town, and the sibs are all partying, wanna come to my place?”
They all nodded, except for Nayla. “I can’t stay the night, though.” They parted their ways, Ella with Ana, and Nayla, Jewel and Kora went to get snacks.
Ella couldn’t sit still in the car. “I can’t believe how amazing that was! Ohmigawd! Adrenaline rush!”
Ana laughed and nodded. “It was pretty amazing!” They pulled up to her house and put the equipment in the shed and then their things in the house. Ella headed straight for the liquor cabinet, but Ana stopped her. “No drinking tonight. My parents noticed last time…”
Ella pouted and crossed her arms over her chest. “Why not?!” She whined. Ana just laughed and pulled Ella into a kiss. Ella kissed her back and then pulled away. “I love you Ana. So much. I want to be with you for the rest of my life.” Ana smiled and kissed Ella as the doorbell rang. “Ready to party baby?”
