Me and a little Problem

A person who I should not see for the rest of my life appeared. The room became silent. The students looked at him with disgust and hate. My eyes could not believe it.

Aki Ortiz

It's Aki Ortiz. The First Year Representative. The hateful, boastful, the most conceited-of-all creauture I had ever met. Why? Why is "he" here?! "He" walked quietly into the room. I saw his blond friend follow him. "He" came closer and closer to me. Is he going to laugh at me? Because I'm a failure?!

I closed my eyes and prepared for the worst.

Huh? Why is he not laughing? I opened my eyes. I did not find him. Huh?!Where is he?! I felt shivers all over my body. What? Again?! I noticed that the stares were towards me. I looked around me. There was no Aki Ortiz. I saw Nicole looked behind me. That's where I realized. He's behind me. He's sitting behind me. He's in the same column as me. Worst, he's going to be with me for a year?!

No way! I will never gonna let that happen. I faced him. He was reading a book called " Lime Light" with a serious face. He was engrossed with it that he didn't notice the ugly glares of our classmates. His dark brown eyes looked into the pages with earnest curiosity. When he finally noticed us, the bell rang. It's time for our second period; Chemistry.

I decided to return to look at the front and get my things and netbook. Everyone of us was provided with their on school devices. For girls, Netbooks were given while the boys received tablets. These devices need the voice recognition of its owner as passwords for security purposes. I thought to give it a password at home because I would not let my mood to be ruined by you-know-who. I would choose my password that is related to Jared. Him and only him.

Nicole walked towards me.

"Aki Ortiz is behind you, Nise. Are you going to be OK?" she whispered.
"For the sake of my family and also myself, I will tolerate his behavior" I whispered back.
"OK then. Text me if you're not feeling well. See you on the cafeteria." Nicole finally went to her new friends.

I stood up and saw Alice. She offered, "Ms. Wrenise, let's go!" with her glimming smile. She really looked like a doll. I took her offer and joined her to our Chemistry Lab. We talked again to get to know each other. When we were all out of ideas, she said the thing that I don't want to hear or accept.

"It seems that Mr. Aki Ortiz is your back-seatmate" she said. Ugh...I wish that she never said that.
"Ye-yeah, it seems so."
"Too bad that his speech was terrible. It totally ruined his face."
"Face? Why did you say that?"
"Haven't you noticed? He's incredibly handsome." Handsome? It never occurred to me how he looks. Just the fact that he stolen my role burns my nerves.
"You must be joking...Don't tell me that you have a crush on him?!" I teased. She suddenly blushed. No way.
"Ple-please keep it a secret." she pleaded.
"O-ok" Oh no, this might become a problem.

It suddenly became awkward. We spent our time walking in silence until we arrived at the Chemistry Lab.
