Me and A whole New Day

When we reached the condo, everything that I felt normal was turned upside down. Now that I knew about magic, returning to normal was quite difficult. I see vivid colors and images everywhere. I tried to grow accustomed in seeing them when Nora's pushing the wheel chair.

We reached my room. How I miss my room.
My stomach started to grumble.

"Ms. Nise, what do you want to eat? " Nora asked. I suddenly got the urge to eat tuna sandwich.
"I would like a tuna sandwich, please. " I replied.

I felt sleepy when I saw my bed. "I'll just rest for a while. I feel so tired" I yawned.
"Okay. I will get your belongings from the car in the meantime"
I nod.

I slumped into my bed. I would be forever thanking the one who made my heavenly bed. I buried my head under my pillow and immediately slept.

It was ten in the morning when I finally woke up. My body was stiff and the aching stopped at last. I smelled a sweet scent and found a tray of tuna sandwich. I immediately grabbed and ate them. Even though it's morning already, the sandwiches felt fresh. Maybe Nora made a new one.

I was feeling sticky so I went to the bathroom to take a little shower. How many days did I took my last bath? When I was drying my hear, my phone vibrated. I suddenly felt excited. I took my phone and BlueODDS01 appeared in my notification box.

Hey, what's up? It's been a long time. Didn't you know that I grew bored these last few days? 😤 is what the message says. I giggled at the thought.

"Oh, yeah? Being arrogant first thing in the morning? Good morning to you, too" I typed. I remembered what happened yesterday.

"By the way, my very important person waited and helped me when I was disabled yesterday. My heart was about to burst! 😣" I added. The reply was slower than usual.

Is that so?... was the words that were sent to me. Is he angry? I was about to ask but Nora knocked the door.

"Ms. Nise, it is time to go" she said in a low voice. I looked at the date. It's already Monday! How can I forget!

I hurriedly readied myself. I didn't manage to reply. I was a little bothered about his sudden behaviour but I decided to worry about it later. I eagerly went to school. Nora notified me about her joining me at school. For security, I guess?

Sebastian was wearing his usual black tuxedo but his expression looked stressed. I apologized to him, thinking that I made him worry.

"Lady Wrenise, please don't apologize to your attendants. It is our job to worry about you" he said and pulled something shiny in his pocket. A bell. It looked familiar.

"Please keep it by your side at all times" He handed me the bell. Now, I remember!  It was the same bell he gave to me when I was feeling dark but I ignored it.

"I understand". I wrapped the bell around my neck and hid it under my blouse. Seeing that I finally understood what he meant,  Sebastian offered the door. "Then, shall we go?" he said.

When I walked past the school gate, everyone was staring at me,  even though they should be staring at Nora. I smiled back to them in response. Near the potted plants, I saw Nicole, Dave, and Bill.

"Morning, Nise! Who's with you?" asked Nicole.
"Hello, I am Nora, Ms. Nise's attendant. Thank you for taking care of Ms. Nise" Nora introduced herself.
"It's our pleasure" Nicole went closer to my ear. "By the way, Nise, we're both still on the same class! Too bad that Dave and Bill weren't with us" she whispered.
"Why didn't you say it out loud?" I whispered back, confused.

"What are you guys talking about?" Bill asked. "Yeah, its like you're hiding something from us" added Dave.
"Girl talk, that's all" Nicole said with a sarcastic smile. "Oh, look at the time! Dave, Bill, we still have something to do, right?" She said while pushing them. She turned back at me and said something.

I'll talk to you later. Good thing I can somewhat read lips. I waved them goodbye.

Nora excused herself when we reached the principal's office because she has something to do with Mr. Foster, being a transfer student after all.

Now, I'm walking alone. To distract myself, I looked at the vivid colors surrounding me. I wondered why I can see some people emitting these colors. When my eyes met Jared's, I saw him emit a yellow color..... no, more like gold. Now that I think about it, Nicole gave off an emerald green color a while ago.

One color caught my attention.

A mixture of red and black.

A doll-like person emerged from these colors. It was Alice. I saw her turning in a corner in the library. I called out to her but the school bell rang. I tried to follow her, thinking that we'll go to class together but I failed. She disappeared when I reached the corner. Maybe she's in a different class.

I finally reached the room with a signboard that says "I-X". It was just like any other class in the building but the only difference was that the door was shaped in strange round shape.

I took a breath.

My new class was about to begin.
