Ah, the cafeteria. It holds the joy of highschool life. Food poisoning, Food fights, Friends... and occasionally, there's the popular-girl-poured-food-on-me-defining-moment-for-me incident.
I am currently on my table listening to Lynn go on and on about how excited she was while David tries to stick his spoon to his nose.
"....and I'm thinking I should wear that sea blue dress. Y'know the one my dad gave me on my birthday, when we went to Phil's. Speaking if which remember Sara Foster, the annoying red head that talked too much" i snorted at that "Yeah, her, I heard her hair got eaten off by raccoons and now she looks like barbie with a bad hair cut which is kind of weird considering-"
She was cut off by the sound of Davids spoon falling.
"Darn it!" He said angrily staring at the spoon. "You are no match for me Mr. Spoon I will defeat you!"
Okay...
"Anyway, where was I, yes, I can't wait till we go shopping"
Hold up.
"Shopping?"
"Yes, your going to help me pick out a dress"
By a dress she means twenty.
Lynn shopping is scary. She moves like a ping pong ball bouncing from shop to shop to shop.
"I am?"
"Yes, you said you would this morning"
Yeah, that's right I did. I just didn't know it included shopping.
I personally like have nothing against shopping. I'm just not ready to face another shopping spree with Lynn again.
"But shopping really?"
"Yeah, its part of the first date process" she said, matter of factly. "Every girl goes shopping right before a date."
I need to write this down.
"Sure..."
"Yes, I did it!" David exclaimed. Just as he said that, the spoon fell down again.
He groaned in frustration.
"Tough luck" Lynn said patting his head. He swatted her hand away.
Lynn and I laughed at his childishness. He picked up the spoon and glared at it.
"I will defeat you one day, Mr. Spoon"
"You've been at it since middle school" Lynn commented.
"Yeah, don't you think its time to quit?"
"I never quit, that's why I'm captain of the debate team"
That's right rub it in. But I will have my revenge.
