chapter 3 - Mysteries of The Library

I scavenge the shelves for books.

Werewolf, no.

Vampire. Too fangy.

The bad boy's good girl. That's what I'm talking about.

I reach up to try and get it when,

Plunk!

"Ow!"

Oh no, I think I hurt someone.

I go over to the other side of the shelf. I find a crumpled form of a human being groaning in pain on the floor.

I kneel beside them. "Oh my,you're hurt"

"Oh wow, Sherlock, did you figure it out all on your own"

My eyes narrowed. Maybe the book breaking his head wasn't a bad idea.

"Oh i'm sorry" I used my finger to jab his head, making him cringe.

"Honestly, are you trying to murder me"

"Of course, I've been stalking you since the day you were born and now I shall fulfill my purpose and murder you" I said in a monotone voice, taking a page from Davids book.

"Okay, psycho" he says rubbing his head and standing up. I followed suit. "I'll be leaving now, thank you for trying to kill"

I press my palms together and bow. "May the force be with you"

He shook his head and laughed before he walked away.

He reminds me of.....

The book!

How could I forget about the book. I bend down and pick up the book.

Hello my little friend. You and I are going to spend sometime together.

I get home and shut the door behind me. And flinging my bag on the floor.

"Dad! I'm home" I wander into the kitchen and find my dad making dinner.

"Hey, Kitty" he said smiling at me. Making creases form at the side of his eyes.

"Where's Sofia?" I asked taking a seat on the counter top.

"She went to pick up the twins from school"

Sofia is my step mum. I don't hate her but I don't like her. She and my dad got married five years ago. Before then it was just me and my dad. Those were the good old days. Camp fires. Mountain climbing. Throwing snowballs at unexpecting passersby. I sigh.

"Hey, Kitty could you pass the salt" he said gesturing to the cupboard.

"Sure thing" I go to the cupboard and get the salt.

"Daddy!"

Behold! The twin evils. (Twevils)
The blonde twins ran into the kitchen and towards my dad, nearly knocking him to the ground.

Maria and Anna, they're both blonde and annoying. They're five and can already tell they are either going to become actresses or models. And anytime they are around he forgets me. Its like a switch.

On.

Off.

On.

Off.

On-

"Hello, all" said Sofia waltzing into the kitchen. She walked up to dad and kissed.

Sofia Montrichard, now Emerson. Is an accountant. She's insanely smart. I think she's trying to break the whole blondes are stupid regime.

Am I the only one who remembers that there's still food on the fire. It seems like the salt is completely forgotten.

I suddenly feel need to excuse my self from this setting. Dropping the salt, I walk out the kitchen. I grab my bag and head up the stairs to my room. I fall unto my bed and close my eyes for a second. Inhaling.

Peace,

Calm,

Sanity.

I get the book out of my bag and begin to read it, my notepad beside me to take notes.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

I tried to ignore the annoying tapping sound.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

I sighed. Might as well let him in. I place a bookmark on my page.

I walked over to window and opened it. I glared at the green eyed demon himself.

The ten year old gave me loppysided grin.

"What do you want, Tobi" annoyance clearly written on my face.

"Sup, Kitty-Kat" he said climbing into my room.

"Don't call me that"

"Mind if I crash here for the night"

"Are you kidding?" I asked brow raised. "What did you do this time?"

"I torched my mums car"

My mouth flew open. "You what?!"

"In my defence, its Deans fault for not watching me"

That's Tobias Kolt for you folks. He's a bit of a troublemaker. He also happens to be my neighbour. Maria has a huge crush in him. Its so creepy. I think she has a shrine or something. I won't say Tobi and I are friends but we're not enemies.

Dean is his brother whom I've never seen before. I've known Tobi for three years and I only heard about Dean a few months ago.

"Forget it."

"Please, if they find me, they'll kill me"

"They'll kill you either way"

He got on his knees "please Katy..."

I huffed. "Fine"

"Yes!" He thrust his fist in the air.

"You are staying on the floor and not one word"

"Thank you, thank you"

"Whatever"

I'm sooo going to regret this in the morning.

How was this chapter?

In reference to the title "THE BADBOY'S GOODGIRL" I honestly don't know if its a real book. If it is I'm terribly sorry. I'm not implying anything.

Now, my lovely lovelies please.......
