Amber: "Elizabeth?!" I yell for my sister as I walk through the forest. I know she is here somewhere, she has to be here! I have yelled for her so much my voice is now sandpaper to my throat. I'm out of food, and out of water. Kali is gone and probably never coming back while I am out here looking for a sister who is probably dead. No, don't think that Amber. Liz is alive, she has to be alive. "Eliz-" My voice cracks as I yell forcing me to stop from the pain. I rub my neck as I walk through the woods, shadows growing all around me. The pain from my throat forces me to take the road, hoping to find somewhere to stay the night. The Pat-Pat-Pat of gunfire is a constant song in the distance as I move onto the road.

I continue to walk until I am about to collapse from exhaustion, my legs feeling like they are on fire. My heart beat quickens as something reflects in the moonlight ahead of me. I quickly rub my eyes and squint as I try to make out what is reflecting, a smile forming on my face as I make out the cabin sitting on the side of the road. As I near the cabin I notice a young girl, no older than ten, standing on the porch. I try to call for her but only a small cry escapes my swollen throat. I walk closer to the cabin but stop dead in my tracks as a a man walks out the door, carrying a woman. He steps off of the porch letting the moonlight consume him. His face is covered with two slits for eyes. He has a katana sheath on his back. I almost burst into tears when I see that Liz is the woman he is carrying. The young girl steps off the porch and smiles up at the man.

"Hi Onii-chan." Onii-chan? I watch as they begin to walk down the road, acting as if they hadn't seen me standing in the middle of the road. Maybe they really didn't see me... The girl and her "Onii-chan" talk while they walk but I am too far away to hear. I begin to follow after them, moving towards the treeline as I continue up the road. Chills run up my spine when the man stops and turns in my direction, looking right at me. He seems to disappear as he puts down Liz and runs towards me. I don't even have time to scream as knocks my feet out from under me. I fall to the road, hitting my head on the rocks below me.

The man kneels down next to me as I begin to sit up, trying to get away from him. I cry out as he pulls me towards him, my leg getting cut on something sharp underneath me. I open my mouth to speak, to beg for him to give me back Liz but he doesn't wait before he punches me in the face and sends me into darkness.

~~~
I jolt awake, sweat running down my face as I look around the dark room. I try to slow my breathing, something I am failing at as I take in the room around me. The shades are drawn, covering the sunlight from coming in, which means it must be sometime in the day... I am lying in a simple bed, a blanket over me and a bandage around my head. I slowly touch the bandage, wincing as pain shoots through my skull.
Something trickles down my wrist as I move to stand up, chains keeping my close to the bed. I squint my eyes and move them as close to the small amount of sunlight there is, my eyes widening as I watch the small amount of blood run down my arm and fall onto the wooden floor. My eyes slowly move up my arm, following the line of blood until they reach my wrist, red from bruising and cut open from the hard metal.
"She's awake." My head shoots up as I hear the small voice come from my door, the door closing quickly. Oh god, oh god they're coming, they're coming! I need to get the hell out of here before they kill me! The chains groan as I pull on them, biting back a scream as fire seems to spread up my arms. The metal continues to cut into my wrists as I pull, the door swinging open and flooding the room with light as the man from last night - was it last night? - turns on the light.
I back up as far as I can on the bed, my back on the wall as my legs are forced out from the chains. The man walks closer to me, his face still covered in that cloth he had before. His eyes narrowed at me as he came closer, the sheets around my ankles red.
