I arrived to Island Def Jam's studio annoyed and really not in the mood to sit around and socialize with my dads business partners. I parked in the visitors parking lot and headed inside. I had never been here before and the dark hallways were foreign to me. The walls were covered in pictures of their signed artists and their hit albums. It didn't take me long before I saw Justin's face on the BELIEVE album poster. There were also My World, My World 2.0, and Mistletoe posters plastered on the wall. I liked the older ones, back before I had met him, back when his eyes were light and his smile was real.

I turned down the left hallway and stopped at the first door on the right. This was supposedly the correct door, my dad had texted me where to meet him here earlier. I heard a unique beat flowing through the room and I could feel the thump of the bass. I opened the door slightly searching for my dad before I made my entrance. Through the small crack I had made I could see my dad sitting on the far right of the room, leaned back in a leather chair. He was smiling and bobbing his head up and down, he obviously liked what he was hearing. I opened the door even wider and slipped inside. I kept my head pointed towards the floor and slowly moved over to my dad. I tapped him on the shoulder once I was within reach to let him know I had made it.

"Hey sweetie." He whispered, leaning back in his chair. "Here have a seat." He pointed to a chair to his left which I gladly took. "I will introduce you to everyone once their done, but look!" he pointed excitedly to the glass separating the sound board from the recording room. My eyes followed his pointing hand looking through the glass. At the moment they were running the beat but no one was singing. A door to the left of the microphone opened and to my disbelief, and absolute bad luck, no other but Justin Bieber entered the room, placing a sheet of music on the stand and gently putting the black headphones over his hair.

"Isn't this so cool?!" my dad asked, more than excited.

"yeah, great." I mumbled wondering if I was in a bad dream or if my life was just a comedic disaster. Justin had made no effort to acknowledge my existence for the past week and a half and now I was forced into a small stuffy room to inevitably have to make small talk with him when he was done, if he would even bother to look at me.

The producer pressed a button on the board and spoke into the air, "Justin, you ready?" His voice was transferred over to the opposite side of the glass and Justin nodded his head and threw him a thumbs up. Another button was pressed followed by a fast paced beat. I wondered if I was even aloud to be in here, I knew Justin had been teasing his fans about new music and I doubt that he wanted anyone other than his coworkers and those closest to him to actually hear the songs.

Justin's head was bobbing and he inched toward the mic to start his entrance. He began to belt out the beginning notes, dragging out his voice, showing off his natural talent. He was singing about some girl, probably Selena, and how he had won her over. It was a cute song and it had a good meaning. His fans would no doubt love it.

I tried to avoid making any kind of eye contact with him, if he was able to see the producer he could no doubt see me. I pulled out my phone and opened up my twitter to pass the time. I kept my eyes on my phone but I listened intently to the song. My mentions were flooding, the paparazzi pictures of Justin in front of the restaurant were published and people had recognized me and my mom.

Most of the pictures were shots of Justin's face but there was a picture from the moment Justin looked up and locked eyes with me. I had lived through that moment but seeing the look on my face only made it hurt more. I was half smiling in the first picture looking hopeful, but as the pictures progressed and he moved past me, the smile disappeared and I looked as if I had just seen a ghost.
