The days had come and gone slowly but I was finally starting to mesh in at school. I had made a couple of friends who I walked through the halls with and sat next to at lunch. My weekends were still lonely but as long as I could keep a good image at school I was satisfied.

My parents were busy as ever; dad had started spending nights in the studio to make sure his artists were delivering and my mom had started working alongside him in the office taking care of the majority of his paperwork and less artistic tasks. My days normally consisted of a long tiring day at school after which I would race to my car and get home as quickly as I could manage just to change into my pajamas and watch tv until it was time for bed. I managed to get a couple meals and naps in between that time but that was my reality now. It was lonely no doubt and I often felt the unbearable need to fall asleep and not get back up.

Justin was still M.I.A. The only times I saw him was when he got into one of his sports cars and sped out of the neighborhood. The only notifications I ever got that reminded me he was still alive was from twitter, and that was not necessarily the reminder I wanted. Seeing him on twitter made me feel so insignificant, as if I was just a number. Just one of the millions of girls vying for his attention.

Right now, I was getting ready for school: I put on my plain uniform, rolling my socks up to my knees and slipping into my black hightop converse. I brushed my dark hair and straightened it, pulling half up and clipping if at the back of my head. I stared at myself in the mirror, my eyes seemed dull and my lips were turned down. I turned away from the mirror, grabbing my bag and trudging down the steps. I grabbed a pop tart from the pantry and quickly headed out to the garage. I had hit snooze a million times this morning and was more than behind on getting to school.

I opened the garage door, stepping down the stairs into the darkness. My hand fumbled on the wall trying to find the button for the big mechanical door which I finally located and slammed, bright light washing over my car. I hurried over to the drivers side and yanked open the door throwing my bag onto the passenger seat. I heard a horn blast loudly as I was halfway inside the car and I turned my head to find out what the problem was. I squinted my eyes, having trouble looking directly into the sun, but as they focused I saw a white Lamborghini sitting in my driveway. Justin.

The door opened and Justin emerged from the drivers side, his SnapBack on backwards wearing a baggy black shirt and grey sweatpants slung low on his hips. His feet were in the red vans he had on the night I first met him and his dark sunglasses were sitting low on the bridge of his nose, his hazels eyes just barely visible.

"What are you doing?" I yelled over to him, bringing the other half of my body back out of the car and crossing my arms across my chest.

"Want a ride to school?" He yelled back towards me.

"I have a car, Justin." I said, annoyed.

He raised both his hands above his head like he was surrendering "Okay, Rae. Just thought you might want to spend some time together but never mind." He turned back to his car, ducking his head in and plopping down in the seat. I stood my ground, not wanting to give in but also desperately wanting to be with him.

"Ugh." I grunted, giving in and grabbing my bag from my car and running down the driveway to catch him before he left. I grabbed the passenger side door and yanked it open sliding onto the cool leather seats.

"Well, look who we have here." He said, his signature smirk working it's way onto his face."

"Shut up and drive." I shot back, leaning into my seat and turning my head to look out the window, hiding my smile.

"As you wish, beautiful." He snickered before started up the engine and racing down my driveway and out of the neighborhood.

We drove to my school mostly in silence besides the directions I gave to him every few minutes.

"You know you're going to have to pick me up now too, right?" I said to him when we pulled up to my school.

"I was hoping I would." He said, looking over at me and holding my gaze.

"Be here at 3." I said, breaking the silence.

"I'll be waiting." He responded with a wink.

"Yeah okay." I mumbled as I got out of the car, slamming the door shut.

He rolled down the window "See you after school, beautiful." He shouted before speeding off.

I shook my head and hurried into the school, already five minutes late for my first class. I rushed down the hall and leaped up the stairs, bursting into my room just as my teacher was taking attendance.

"Well, Miss. Raeleigh, we all know you're present," he said, eying me as I stood in the doorway panting. "Please take a seat and relax for a moment." The class let out a few quiet laughs as I made my way to the back of the class. I heard a loud laugh from the back corner and saw Finn sitting with his feet propped up on an empty desk next to him. I made my way over and pushed his feet of the seat and plopped into the chair, slumping down in the seat and hiding my burning red face. This of course only made him laugh harder and he didn't stop even when I glared over at him.

"Don't take it too hard new girl, at least everyone knows your name now." He said continuing to laugh. I reached over and playfully punched him in the arm.

"Oh someone's a little feisty," He said jokingly rubbing his arm. "I like that." The corners of his mouth curled up and he held eye contact with me until I looking down at my hands in my lap, my face getting even more red.

It was only 8 am and I had already had one of the most interesting mornings I've ever experienced, and I still had the rest of the day to get through.
