Chapter 10~ Doorbell

•Daniel's POV•

So it's the next day and I am honestly so nervous! I have never felt this nervous before in my life!

I was already preparing the food for tonight. I laid out all of the ingredients and placed all of the cookware that I needed out just to be as prepared as I could.

My heart has been beating out of my chest ever since I woke up this morning. My hands are shaking and I can not even deal with how much my head is spinning right now.

I just hope it all goes well. I really like Joey and I knew from the second I saw him through that window that I was going fall for him.

So here I am. Freaking out about having Joey over for the first time.

•Joey's POV•

I just got up and I am already freaking out!

I am going over to Daniel's house for the first time today and I have no idea what to do, what to wear, or what to bring.

I am frantically digging through my closet, throwing clothes all over my room.

Why is it that I have a closet full of clothes and still cannot decide what to wear?

After I ended up emptying out my closet and making a complete mess of my room, I ended up settling on a floral button up and dark blue skinny jeans.

I also did not want to show up empty handed, so I decided to get him a dining set as a house warming gift.

I quickly managed to clean up the mess I made and fed Wolfie.

By the time I finished, it was already 5:30. I had half an hour left to freak out before heading over to Daniel's house.

•Daniel's POV•

It's 4:00 and I decided to get started on cooking dinner.

I started with the lasagna since it would take the longest to cook.

I grabbed a tray and lightly greased it before placing the first layer of lasagna noodles at the bottom of the tray.

Next, I added some tomato sauce on top of the layer of noodles.

Then, I added some vegan meat on top of the sauce and sprinkled some vegan cheese on top of that.

I repeated that 3 times until the tray was almost filed to the top and popped it in the oven for half an hour.

While that was baking, I got started on the spinach soup.

I wanted a very creamy consistency almost like chowder.

I started off by washing the spinach. I boiled a large pot of water and blended the spinach until it was smooth. I added some chicken broth to the boiling water and mixed in some cream before adding the spinach purée.

I let that simmer in the pot and got started on the kale salad.

Again, started by washing the kale and trimmed the stems a bit. I decided to add some bread crumbs, so I toasted the bread and ground it into bread crumbs. I mixed the bread crumbs into the kale and drizzled some dressing on top before mixing it in completely and letting it sit.   

The bell on the oven rang, signaling that the lasagna was done. I took it out of the oven to let it cool a bit. It looked great!

I got out two bowls and filled them with the creamy spinach soup, adding a mint leaf for garnish.

It was at that exact moment when I heard the
doorbell.

A/N~ Nope, still not over yesterday's video. I have not recovered yet and I don't think I ever will. I keep watching it over and over again and I can't freaking stop!!! Everything time it gets to the part when they say "I love u" I just lose it. Also, how freakin cute was today's video!!! First camera kiss!!! Hopefully we get a lot more and not just in the cheek ;) And yes, I chose "the photo" to put at the top. The one that started #janiel. I'm genuinely so happy for them and I wish them all the happiness they can get. Don't for get I love u guys!!! 😩😭💘💘💘
