[Chapter 2- Orphan Girl]
---
"Don't forget your-"
The front door slams shut as Jihyun exits her house, blinking rapidly to get used to the bright rising sunlight. Her hands tighten around the straps of her backpack as she walks down the sidewalk, away from her house and away from her now angry mother. A small frown begins to grace her facial features as she makes her way towards her school.
"Having family troubles?" She hears from behind her, but she sighs in response; trying to ignore the girl behind her who's probably with her boy toy as well.
"Aww poor you~" the boy says and Jihyun ignores them as she begins to see the school in view. She doesn't live far from the school and it only takes less than two minutes to get there. Luckily she doesn't live too far or else she would have had to take the bus; who knows what would happen if she were to take the bus.
"Too bad your mommy and daddy are divorcing", the girl snickers and this stops Jihyun in her tracks.
How did this stupid girl know about Jihyun's privacy in her own home?
"Did we strike a nerve?" The boy mocks and Jihyun grits her teeth as she takes a step forward, trying her damn best to ignore the two hyena's behind her.
"Who would you rather live with? Your busy asshole of a dad, or a whore and bitchy woman that you know as your mother?"
"She's not a whore..." Jihyun mutters a reply as she begins to walk up the steps to make it through the school front doors. The girl scoffs and says, "I'm sorry what was that, orphan girl?"
"What are you talking about? I'm not an orphan. I have two parents and a sister", Jihyun says and she finally turns around to face the smirking girl and boy. Jihyun glares at the two and they scoff with a mischievous smirk etching their lips.
"Who says they're even your real parents?" The girl says with a coy smile and she sashays passed Jihyun with the boy, leaving her utterly shocked and angry.
Of course they are her real parents, right?
She shakes her head vigorously and turns to walk back up the stairs.
That's ridiculous. Of course they're my real parents.
"Hey Jungkook, wait up!!!"
Jihyun's head spins towards the loud noise and she watches as the boy known as Jimin runs towards another who's name is Jungkook. Smiles are plastered on their faces as they begin to walk up the school stairs with others eyes watching them in confusion and wonder.
In this small town, everyone knows everyone. It's almost impossible to not know someone's privacy because of how close everyone is with each other. Except with Jihyun, of course.
She knows everyone's names, but not their life. Everyone knows her name, but not her life.
Except for the one girl and boy, though. She can't help but start to wonder who else knows her secret...
"Jimin I told you my answer already", Jungkook says and Jimin laughs as he pats his shoulder. Jimin is about to reply to Jungkook's statement, but his eyes gaze right towards Jihyun's; lingering there for a moment or two. His eyes watch her with a hidden emotion and she can't help but watch them in interest. Jimin slowly moves his eyes away from Jihyun and continues to walk up the school stairs, putting his arm around Jungkook's shoulder to help steer him.
For some odd reason, she can't seem to take her eyes off the boy known as Jimin. It's as if her eyes are glued towards the boy; his smile widening as he says something to Jungkook while completely ignoring Jihyun.
