Chapter 17 - The Party
"SURPRISE!!!"
Everyone jumped out from their hiding spots behind the car and cheered. At first Foxy looked quite stunned and stumbled back a couple of steps. A worried look crept onto Secret's face as well. Did Foxy not like the surprise?
After a couple of seconds of the hot summer sun beating down on us, Foxy laughed. And oh did he laugh? It was kind of demented in a way.
After his laughing fit he went over to hug Chica. He shook hands with Freddy and kissed me on the cheek. He pretty much ignored Secret and Wolfie though.
"Thank you for setting this up." He whispered into my ear. I guess he actually was glad. I smiled and hugged him, tight, for a couple of seconds. It was good to be back. All for of us.
Foxy invited Freddy and Chica into our apartment like a good host. I made sure to clean most of it before they showed up. I wouldn't want them to think that we lived in filth. Freddy and Chica took a spot on the couch together while Wolfie sat on the floor.
"Do any of you want drinks? I know it's hot out there today." Foxy said while stashing away his keys. Right before anyone could say something, Secret piped up.
"I'm fine with taking orders. You need to catch up with the two anyway, Foxy." That was the final word as secret took out a little notebook and pencil. Is he planning on being a waiter or something? He walked around and wrote down what people wanted to drink then strolled into the kitchen.
"That kid was prepared." Said Chica and she giggled. That kid? Oh yeah! I haven't introduced Wolfie and Secret yet. How stupid can I be?
"Ahhh, I forgot... That's Secret. He's pretty quiet most of the time so this is a change of pace." I gestured toward the kitchen so they got the right idea. Hopefully Secret doesn't upset them during their stay. I know they can't stay long. Then there's Wolfie... Him being weird is inevitable.
"And I'm Wolfie; it's nice to meet ya!" Wolfie stuck out his hand towards Freddy and Chica. One by one they both shook it happily.
Foxy walked over and shut the blinds before sitting on the recliner. Now only little streams of light were able to squeeze their way into our home. The dust was visible in the calming phosphorescent light.
"We're Freddy and Chica." Freddy responded for the two of them and since they already shook hands, there was no need to repeat themselves.
Secret came bustling out of the kitchen with some drinks on top of silver tray. When he walked into the light, the tray light up like a house on Halloween night. Wait a minute... Do we even have trays?
I gave Secret a look that said something along the lines of Where the hell did you get that from? The message seemed to get through to him as well.
"I thought you said that we were going to have a party. Was I incorrect?" He placed the tray down in front of the guests. Wolfie was the first to grab his drink.
"You're not wrong, but I'm just wondering where you got all that."
Chica giggled and decided to speak up, "You didn't have that tray in the kitchen, did you?"
"Nope..." I responded.
Secret looked a little hurt by the remark. He sat on the ground next to Wolfie; leaning his head against Wolfie's shoulder. Wolfie smiled and started to run his hand through Secret's hair.
"You said that we were going to have a party. I brought stuff for the party." He murmured and stared at Freddy. After awhile Freddy noticed him and got a little uncomfortable. Secret looked away first though.
