A bright strike of lighting flashed over head with a boom of thunder a second after, rain poured down heavily as Kakashi continued his brisk pace through the forest. He was in a rush to get back to his home village, Konoha. He had been called back from his mission by the Hokage herself, and it sounded urgent. The rain was starting to obscure his vision, however, making it difficult to travel. He was contemplating stopping until it passed, but didn't get to think about it for long before he stops on a branch. There was now an unfamiliar ninja on a branch a few feet in front of him, they were clad in a long black cloak and wore a kabuki mask to hid their face.
"Who are you?" Kakashi calls out in a calm manner as his hand slowly reaches for a kunai from the holster on his leg,
"I don't have time to deal with you."
The strange person didn't say anything, they only raised their hands slowly. The silver haired Jounin shifts his position to a defensive one on the branch, he was preparing himself for whatever this person had in mind. Yet he was surprised as the person forms hand signs in quick unision, thus making Kakashi decide to attack right away. He pushes off the branch and rushes towards the person, he didn't reach them. In fact, he didn't realize what had happened until it was too late. The person completed their hand signs and a bright white light was emitted from their body, Kakashi covers his eyes as the light envelops him completely. Everything had gone dark before he had a chance to react to the jutsu.

Upon opening his eyes slightly, Kakashi was greeted with a poudning headache and the faint smell of smoke. It was then he felt something jabbing him in the side, and he wanted it to stop. He swatted at whatever it was, it stopped and he heard a soft voice,
"Oh, I was starting to think you were dead."
Kakashi opens his eyes all the way to see a woman standing over him, her skin was pale and she had long black hair with dark green eyes. She steps away from him and adds,
"You really shouldn't be here, it's not safe."
He sits up while rubbing his head, he questions,
"Where am I?"
She scoffs at him and crosses her arms while replying,
"What, you don't recognize Kyoto? Where have you been your whole life, living under a damn rock?"
Kakashi looks around, nothing around him was familiar in the slightest and it was then he came to the realization that he wasn't in Konoha anymore. Or even the Land of Fire.
~
"What did you say your name was again?" Kakashi asks as he follows the strange girl, he hadn't a clue as to where she could be taking him, or why. He didn't have a choice but to go with her, as he still had no idea where he was. She sighs from ahead of him and replies,
"Kat, my name is Kat."
"And where would you be taking me right now, Kat?"
"To my home, where it's safe."
~
The place Kat lived in was much stranger than the rest of the world Kakashi has seen so far, it certainly wasn't a style of living he's ever experienced. He didn't get to take in the appearance of her home because of the sudden loud explosive sounds from outside, Kats' expression darkens as she mutters,
"Shit."
She grabs Kakashis' hand and yanks him to a different room, this one had a large steel door. He pulls his hand from hers as she closes the metal door while asking,
"What was that?"
"A bomb," she replies simply as she turns around to look at him,
"And we can't stay here anymore."
He couldn't imagine who or what would drop a bomb on her home, but he didn't care at the moment. It was dangerous, and he wasn't going to die in some strange world. Kat had grabbed something from the table in the center of the room and put it on, it was a glove of some sorts, with purple tips to it. She holds her arm out straight with the glove, and used her other hand to push a button on the side of it near her wrist while saying,
"We should be able to get away with this, I don't know if it'll work or not, it's only a prototype. But it's the only option we have right now, we can't go back the way we came."
A bright light formed on the fingers of the glove, and then shot out against the wall in front of her. The light darkened to a deep black color and formed a rather large circle on the wall. She looks at Kakashi and states,
"We have to jump in."
"What?" he says in an astonishment,
"We can't go in there, you even said it's a prototype. How do you know it even works right?"
"I don't know, but there's nothing else we can do."
There was another loud explosion from outside the room, this one causing rubble and dust to fall from the ceiling. Kakashi grabs hold of Kat by her waist and hoists her over his shoulder, she holds on to his vest as he enters the swirling black hole and they were both enveloped in darkness.
~
When opening his eyes, Kakashi came to see that Kat wasn't with him anymore. He looks around and easily recognizes the area as the training field just outside Konoha. And Kat was still nowhere in sight, he gets up and ignores the pounding pain in his head as he starts to head down the familiar path that lead to the village. There was always the possibility that she had woken up before him and had wandered to the village on her own already. That, or he had imagined everything that had happened, which was hard to belive. It felt unreal, the more he thought about it. Who ever could imagine going to a completely different world, and seeing brand new things? Kakashi certainly hadn't thought about it himself at all. He reached the village gates within moments with the same thought in mind.
Was Kat even real? Or did the jutsu the person in the kabuki mask put on him make him imagine it all?
