My eyes grew big and i stuttered, " Umm...haha..you know the usual when your..umm..grounded."  My mom eyed me and sighed, "Do you have something to tell me..Rowin?"    I shook my head thinking that would please her but it didn't.     "Riiiiight...i'll find out sooner or later," She says.     I sighed and explained," Fine. You won. I snuck out this morning at six o'clock and went over to Luke's house to ride Aslen."       She nodded slowly and looked down, "I know. I figured that you did. Its okay though. You  don't have to be grounded tomorrow...if your that  "in love" with horses."       I gasped,"Umm...wait what did you just say?" I asked her even though i already heard her, I just couldn't believe it.

" I said you dont have to be grounded tomorrow and that i'm not mad that you snuck out," She repeated.   I kept watching her for any signs of smiling or smirking, but there was none.    I ran upstairs and threw some clothes on then i raced back downstairs.   "I guess i'll go back to their house if you don't mind,"I said.  "Yea O.K see you at 6:00," She grinned.  AWKWARD i thought.  But when i got this kind of opportunity i took it.  I raced to the woods and to the front porch of Luke's house.  I didn't even have to ring the doorbell because Luke saw me running up to the porch and was ready for me to come into the living room.  The night before i hadn't seen it cause of the rush i was in. But it was beautiful.  It carried two couches and an odimun that matched, with an orange color. It also contained a brick fireplace and a tall painting of a woman in a dress holding a rose.  Wow i thought. There was also a big fake clock hanging above the couches.

"How do you have so much mone-I mean..how..is your house so pretty?" I stuttered. I was going to ask  how he had so much money, but my mom always told me it wasn't polite. So yeah that was my cover up. "Ha! I guess we just make enough money to get the things we need. And by the way, i dont think its bad that your asking how we make so much money," He said.     "You dont?" I asked.  "Uh-Uh. Infact i'll tell you how. Every september there is a horse race that my dad and i attend to. I'm actually one of the racers. The last three years i won the race in first place! The winner gets a total of  One Hundred Thousand Dollars. So thats how," He explained.  "Wow! That explains it," I said.    He nodded,"Yep. And guess what. This years race we get partners to race with! I was thinking you could come and race with me."    "Sure.Yes.Definitely.That would be awesome!  But won't i have to practice?" I asked.    "Hmmm-hummmm. Thats why we're are going outside. Cause you have to be good to be in the race."
