The next morning I slept till 12:00 then i decided i better get up. I got dressed and ran down to Luke's. A cop car was in the front of their house. Oh right! He called the cops. I rang the doorbell ,but it was a while till Mr.Sims came to the door. "Julie. Good to see you. As you might have noticed a cop has come to discuss what happened last night," He welcomed me inside and i took a seat in the living-room as i had last night. A stern-looking cop sat in a chair and looked me over. "This is the girl?" He asked. Mr.Sims nodded.  "Well, do you mind if i ask you a couple questions?" He asked me. I shook my head then remembered I hadn't even told my mom about the incident! "When did this happen last night and how'd it happen. Just tell me as much as you can," The cop said. I took a deep breath. I had a lot to tell this man.

"It was around 2:00 when Luke called me. He said that Aslen ,their horse, was missing. So I went outside, but not much later a man grabbed me and threw me in the very very back of his pickup truck. I would have cried for help but he threatened me with a gun." I continued to tell him the whole story when finally he said, "Did you know we've been looking for this man for ten years? All thinks to you and that horse , we have him now. We will reward you with $15,000," the cop nodded his head, got up, and walked out the front door."$15,000! I know it might not seem like much to you but that is a lot to me!" I said to Mr.Sims. He laughed and hollered for Luke to come down so we could practice for the race.

A couple minutes later Luke rushed down and exclaimed ,"Rowin! I'm so glad you're okay! C'mon lets go," he grabbed my rist and drug me outside towards the barn. He got Diamond,as usual, and his saddle and bridle. I did the same with Aslen's things and him. We were practicing before i knew it. Luke told me to repeat as much as i could remember from the other day. Gladly i remembered everything. Then he taught me some other things like: Feel your horse's muscles beneath you, know when to move with him. And: When you're racing  you must NEVER keep the reins tight. If you do your horse will not be able to move as freely. You must give and take give and take. You take when he comes back from the long stride he just took. You give when he takes his strides.

After a long while we un-mounted and i rushed home to tell mom about what happened the night before. ( She was angry with me for not telling her sooner but she said she was glad i was okay)
