We finally got home after 20 minutes of driving. I got inside and went upstairs for a cold shower.

When i was done i changed into some blue shorts and a black tank-top. I looked myself over in my mirror.   Hmmm...it'll do. I guess...i mean...i don't know. Whatever. Its not like I'm going somewhere public.  I said to myself.  I went to my closet and put some Allstar Converse on. Then i ran quickly down the stairs and into my parent's bedroom.  My dad was at work and my mom was laying in her bed with her bath robe on and her hair wet.  " You beat me outa the shower looks like," i said.     She nodded,"Yea, but you know i take short baths. Did you want something?"       "Mmmhmm. Can i go to the forest?" i asked.    "Be back by 7:00. You have 2 hours," she replied.   I nodded and took off out of her bedroom and out the backdoor.

Our neighborhood has a forest that sits to the left side of it while a horse farm sits beside the forest. Our house was closest to the forest so i didn't have to run very far. I got to the edge of the forest and took a deep breath. It was usually dark and gloomy, but today sunshine shined through the leafs and dappled the forest ground. It was actually...pretty. I walked in and went down to a creek that appeared further away from the edge of the forest, but i knew a short-cut that could take me there in a shorter time.  I sat by the creek and planted my hand in the dirt beside me and grabbed a handful of pebbles. I came to the forest every chance i got. Which was almost everyday.

I picked a brown and white swirled pebble from my hand and skipped it across the water.  I learned how to skip pebbles from my dad.  He was good at those kind of things.  I picked another pebble, this time it was black, and skipped it into the water.  I watched the ripples grow larger every second. Then they...just disappeared.  I grabbed another pebble without looking and was about to throw it when i heard something. I turned around ,dropping the pebble. Was that what i thought it was. I gasped. It was a...a.... .
