As soon as I landed on Aslen's back I steered him the other way. Sure enough the pickup truck came to a squelching stop. I wanted to get in the racing position ,but it's hard when you don't have a saddle, and I didn't want to risk falling off with this crazy person after me. So I leaned forward. I felt every breath Aslen took. I felt his heart racing. He knew i was in trouble, that's why he was running so fast.

The car did a U-turn and raced towards us. I clenched Aslen's mane. Who is this person? Why is he after ME? What I did I do?  I leaned forward more. The car was right on our tail. Gladly I knew where we were. We were right beside the stretch of woods near Luke's house. A long black fence separated the woods and the road. I knew we were going to have to jump it. I steered Aslen off the street and into the grass. The person in the car pulled up to the side of us and rolled his window down.

We were still going fast and I could barely make out the man's words through the wind," Get bac-her-" . He put his arm out of the window and reached for me. This is it. I pulled Aslen's mane torwards the fence and we glided trough the air. We landed roughly on the ground and I pulled Aslen to a stop. I looked back and noticed the man lying on the grass where Aslen had jumped the fence. He must've fallen out from reaching for me to far.  But where was the truck? I looked further ahead and there it was , its front end smashed through the fence.

I got off Aslen and slowly approached the man. I knew it was dangerous, but if the man was hurt he wouldn't be able to get very far. I leaned over the fence and starred down at him. His eyes were opened but he didn't blink. His limp body was sprawled out and looked like a rag. He was dead.
