Missy
"Melissa, are you hearing me? I'm not just talking for my health!"
I rolled my eyes and sat my back pack down on the floor. "Why are you yelling? Aren't you the one that told me to defend myself." I casually snapped back at my father.
"Fuck out of here with that bullshit, Missy! I'm tired of having to lecture you about your behavior. This is it. Give me your car keys and your credit card."
My father stood there with his hand out waiting for me to budge. I smacked my teeth.
"Yeahh no. I'm not giving you nothing," I mumbled.
"Oh, really? This is my house, Missy. Act like you know and give me my shit since you cannot act right."
This was the first time that I actually heard my dad come at me sideways about something and it really was rubbing me the wrong way. I bet Val had something to do with this little punishment shit.
"Man, whatever," I said, tossing my car keys and credit card on the floor.
"I said hand it to me. Do as I say!" he barked. I was startled by his tone, but for the first time in a while I obliged.
I bent down and retrieved the items he wanted. "Here," I handed it to him and stormed off to my room. "God, I wish mom was here."
When I finally made it upstairs to my room, I locked the door and blasted my stereo as loud as possible along with singing horribly at the top of my lungs. It really was days like this that I missed my mom. She had a way of getting across her message to both me and my dad without even breaking a sweat.
I went in my bathroom and removed my irritating contacts in preparation to get more comfortable. I kind of did not have a choice but to be since I was suspended for three days. And now that I think about it, Principal Wheeler was being a little overly dramatic with this suspension. A day of ISS would be efficient enough if you ask me.
Just as I changed into a pair sweats and a t-shirt, someone was banging on my room door. I ignored it and laid back on my bed with my eyes closed. My thoughts shifted to my mom and all I was thinking about was how she would react.
The door was banged on again and before I knew it, it was being unlocked. I rolled my eyes when my irritating father walked in and turned down my stereo. "The door was locked for a reason."
"You can lock doors when you start paying bills," he uttered.
"Anyway, some little boy from your school is at the front door. He says that you told him to bring your school assignments home." I sat there with a bewildered look on my face because I never did such a thing. If anybody was going to bring me my school work, it would be Ash.
"Um, yeah...let me go get it," I casually lied and put my glasses on before walking down stairs to the front door.
Donovan
I could not believe this. I was standing at the devil child's front door waiting to for her to come so that I can woo her...the things I do for some extra money.
When she got to the door, I could not help but to admire the view. Her slender body was enticing.
"Damn," I mumbled.
"What the hell are you doing at my house, Woods?" she barked when seeing me. Any physical attraction I had to her just disappeared when she opened her mouth to speak.
I mentally rolled my eyes before putting on a fake, but charming grin. "Sup, nice to see you too."
"Answer my question. Why are you here and who gave you my address?" she asked with her arms crossed while glaring me down.
