3 months later...

Missy

"Melissa!"

I rolled my eyes when hearing my dad call out my name and stomped to the top of the stairwell. "Yes, how can I help you?" I asked sarcastically.

"I'm going away on business for this week."

My brows arched in confusion. "Okay, sooo...what does that mean?" I didn't understand why he was telling me his wherebouts all of a sudden. We were barely on talking terms.

"Nothing," he sighed with an agitated tone. "Just be safe with your friends and don't do anything reckless."

I looked down at him with a blank face before nodding. "Alright. Have a good trip."

As I walked away from the stairwell to go finish packing for my Spring break trip, I heard my father's voice again.

"I love you, Missy..." The words lingered on until I heard the front door shut close.

My thoughts shifted to my mom. This was always her time of the year because it meant rain and the flowers blossomed, two of her favorite things. I smiled at the view in mind.

Just when I zipped my duffle bag closed, Ashley's name came across my phone's screen. I accepted the call and put her on speaker.

"Hey boo. Y'all ready to head out?"

"Yeah, we around the corner so bring your ass outside now. Please and thank you."

"Mhm, okay girl. I'm coming down now." We ended our call and hurried from my room with my bag to down the stairs in a dash.

When getting to the front door, I was greeted with Don's face. I smirked at the sight of him and that charming grin of his.

"Morning lil baby. Ready to go?"

"Yeah," I nodded as he put his hand out to take the bag from my shoulder. Handing it off to him, I turned to lock up the house.

"Sooo, before we head out I feel like I gotta tell you what you getting into."

I quickly turned to face him with a concerned frown. "What's up?" I asked.

"Will brought Leah with him. Considering our history and how much you hate her, I felt you should know."

I rolled my eyes and shrugged. "Doesn't she have a kid to mother? Things like Spring break is how she got pregnant in the first place."

A grin appeared on Don's face before he started to laugh. "I love you, never change."

"What? I'm dead serious."

Before he could get another word out, the horn from the truck waiting on us beeped several times. We both turned our heads toward it to see Ashley sticking her head out of the window.

"Come on now, bring your asses."

I started to walk, but Don grabbed my hand to stop me. I looked up at him to see that he was pouting. "What's wrong baby?"

"You know I can't function too well without your kisses..." he whined with his low eyes staring deep into my soul seem like.

"You po' baby," I teased as I stepped closer to him.

My hands rested on his firm chest that was barely being covered by sleeveless t-shirt. I peeked up to see this fool pucking his lips, waiting.

I leaned upward to position myself against his tall stature. Don pressed his soft lips to mine, nibbled on my bottom lip which always got me hot and bothered. I slowly pulled back and narrowed my eyes at him.
